Movie Review: Come September
Summary: 4 Stars
This is among my favorites of the 1960's romantic comedies. The generational duel between Rock Hudson and Bobby Darin as they woo Gina Lollobrigida and Sandra Dee is hilarious. Victor Slezak is a gem as the major domo who turns Rock's beautiful villa into a top hotel for 11 months of the year until Come September. When Rock shows up early, he throws everyone into a panic as the staff attempts to prevent him from discovering that his villa is the "best hotel in town."Movie Review: Funny farce for facing fall.
Summary: 4 Stars
This classic boy meets girl, Woman dumps man, Man and boy find girl and woman, while crafty sidekick creates havoc is a terrific and non-thought provoking way to escape the reality of fall falling in September.
This film is not about the actors or actress off screen personalities, although one can almost see Darrin and Dee fall in love.
Enjoy this film just for the fun and the music!

Scenery was fabulous; makes one want to travel the coast of Italy right away! A Romantic Comedy much like so many other 1960's Romantic Comedies: innocent & kind of screwball at the same time. Movie Review: Romantic Comedy
Summary: 3 Stars
A New York business man(Rock Hudson)visits his villa in Italy every September, to relax and to romance his italian girlfriend(Gina Lollobrigda); but, when he arrives unannounced a month eary(July) he is in for the surpise of his life. His luxury villia has been turned into an hotel filled with a gaggle of American girls being pursued by a herd of pining boys. To say that he is astounded, is putting in lightly and in his attempt to set things right, i.e. regain control of his villa; he manages to lose his privacy, his girlfriend and his mind. Then he comes up with a plan of his own. You'll have to see the movie to know what that plan is and whether it is successful or not - good viewing.
