Movie Review: Christmas In Connecticut is a holiday classic

The house in Christmas In Connecticut still looks great after all these years. I'd still like a house like that. What else can you say about such a wonderful old fashioned movie. A re-make was tried, but it was just terrible. It's hard to improve on perfection. I even like it in black and white. By far, this is my all time favorite Christmas movie.I probably watch this movies at least twenty times a year, and not just at Christmas time. Barbara Stanwyck was a doll, and Dennis Morgan...what a hunk!!! I wish that everyone who loves Christmas movies, will give this a try. I can't imagine anyone not loving it.Movie Review: Good

Popular when it was made, it's forgotten now. Perhaps because of it's implausible, if ridiculous story line. While "White Christmas" is still relevant, story and content wise, this seems like a throwback to an Astaire, Rogers script( confused identity and such) . Fun to watch but not more than once.

A fun, silly comedy in old school style. To me, this movie puts me in the holiday mood. I love Barbara Stanwyck and the supporting cast is superb. Christmas in Connecticut is my all time favorite Christmas movie. It is set in the 40's, war time..and is hilarious and touching at the same time. It's a really sweet movie which our family watches every Christmastime! In fact, there are words and lines from the movie we use all year long!
