Seller did not make it clear that the CD was not a CD of the tunes from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (it was a selection of unrelated songs from the 60s). I wouldn't have bought it had I known.
Movie is fantastic though.

I GIVE HONORABLE MENTION TO THE ORIGNAL INLAWS. BUT--UNQUALIFIED--THIS IS THE BEST TIME I HAVE EVER HAD WITHOUT AN ADULT RATING (NOT CONSIDERING ROCK OPERAS AND MAYBE STANDUP COMEDIANS OR NON-FICTION.) IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE JAMES BOND FILMS BY THE SAME AUTHOR AND PRODUCER. SOUND OF MUSIC, WIZ OF OZ AND MARY POPPINS WERE PRETENTIOUS IN COMPARISON. MOST MEMORABLE SCENE: THE GRANDFATHER SINGING AND DANCING IN THE AIRLIFTED/DROWNING OUTHOUSE!!!! THIS MOVIE IS NOT TOO LONG FOR THOSE WITH ATTENTION SPANS AND THE MUSICALS MAKE FOR A GREAT ROMANCE UNDERNEATH THE SUSPENSEFUL, HILARIOUS AND VERY DEVELOPED PLOT. THE SCENES OF ALL THE CHILDREN LOCKED UP IN THE DUNGEON MAKE FOR A VERY SERIOUS AND DEEP SOCIAL COMMENTARY. MOST MEMORABLE LINE: DICK VAN DYKE SAYS EARLY ON THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIS CHILDREN "RUNNING WILD IN THE STREETS"! THE LISTS OF THE GREATEST MOVIES AND ACADEMY AWARDS DRAMAS ARE ALWAYS ANTI-CLIMATCIC AND PRETENTIOUS UNLIKE THIS POINIENT CHILDREN'S FANTASY/ADVENTURE. AFTER THIS MY FAVORITES ARE MY FAIR LADY AND MAN DE LA MANCHA (AND APOCALIPSE NOW).

Crafted in the days before cinematic computerization and without the crutch of live animation, this children's classic strongly withstands the test of time. A simple fable of good conquering evil, the story nevertheless conveys messages of love, faith and loyalty, all delightfully plackaged in brilliant costuming, music, and cinematography.
