Movie Review: Ignore the naysayers

I bought this DVD with some trepidation, due to some of the negative comments posted here. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! I saw Chicago live in 1985, then again in December 2003. I wanted more, so I bought this DVD - and loved it. The music is great (sounded great on my Sony surround system), & the conversations with band members are nice. The only negative - the DVD is peppered with inane comments from Jay Leno, the Sapranos, Regis Philbin, et. al. If you love Chicago, you'll love this DVD.Movie Review: The band so great a city was named for them....

This is a GREAT preformance from AMERICA'S GREATEST BAND! What I like best about this DVD is the interaction between the host, the callers, and the band members, and all the wonderful stories and comments the band members have to share with us. The songs are great...the only musical complaint I have is that the whole Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon is not on here...but you can't have everything....
Mr. Walt Parazaider's solos are quite musical and beautiful, might I add...

I do not agree at all about what people are saying about Chicago sounding like a cover band and getting the words wrong. Yes, they left out a lot of their greatest hits, but there is a time limit on the show people and they did most of the ones they were famous for.. yes, I wanted more and more and more.. and I think jason does a really good job of covering the peter songs and keith howland.. whooohoo.. what a handsome guy he is anyway.. i want to see more !Movie Review: Hello Chicago!

Chicago DVD Live By Request is awesome. With Walter Parazeider that is a good man and Jason Scheff that is another good man. One thing that makes this DVD really great is all the special guests that come and wish the band a great 35th anniversary.
The highest moment with no doubt is when Regis Phillburn sends a sincere letter to the band hoping that they have another 35 years of success.
Say Hello to Chicago!!!
Movie Review: Awesome Performance!

I purchased this DVD for my husband for Christmas and he has been playing it over and over ever since. "Live by Request"is always a quality production in my opinion, and Chicago sounded better than ever for this performance. It was great to walk down memory lane with all those awesome tunes, and the newer band members did not disappoint. This is a must have for all Chicago fans 'cause the music is still hot!!!
