Movie Review: Touching!!!A MUST watch!!!!!*

I feel it so warm and touched throughout the whole plot.I'd like to emphasize that Central Station is really a simple but DEEP movie!!I seldom watch road movie,and since watching Central Station,I have a completely new insight about it!!Fate lead Dora (Fernanda Montenegro) & Josue (Vinicius de Oliveira) come together.You will find everything is so natural & Logical.
As for the pictures, I especially love the one when Josue look outside the train to search his home. The scenery is beatiful yet blurred(coz the railway is moving)! I guess it implys that he's searching for his blurred identity.
Moreover,I do think that Montenegro is the highlight of the movie. Her role is sometimes cynical but interesting, & sometimes touching & lovely too!
I highly recommend this movie!!!It reminds me "Love Actually is everywhere"!!~~*

Even though I would have loved for this DVD to include a soundtrack or subtitles in Spanish, I believe "Central do Brasil" deserves to be bought in any language or format available. It is amazing to watch a movie with such an ability to provoke scarcely experienced emotions while it offers a beautifully depicted portrait of Brazil, its culture, people and landscape, all entwined with a touching story delivered to us through a masterful combination of actors and non-actors. Fernanda Montenegro gained a lot of recognition with her portrayal of Dora, and she deserved it. It is a pity they didn't award her the Oscar. Her young counterpart in the film, Vinicius de Oliveira, was also outstanding and very convincing. I keep this film in a preferred position among the best films I've ever seen.Movie Review: What a wonderful movie!!!

There are only one word for qualified this movie: WONDERFUL. Firstly, it's a portugese movie. This movie has win a lot of awards around the world, for an example:many awards in the movie's festival of Berlin. This year, he won the Golden Globe award for the best movie in foreign language. More, he was nominated two time in the 1999 annual Academy Awards ceremony. The movie are very emmotionnal. The characters are very good and very "true". It's like the real life with real people in a real world. I recommand this movie to person who like movie with a beautiful story. More, it's an actor movie, not a blockbuster. At the end, we love the old Dora, who is, in the start, a very old pest!!! The leading actress, Fernanda Montenegro are spectacular! I enjoyed this title!!!Movie Review: Instant Worldwide Classic

The first time I saw this film I came to the conclusion it was not only a simple movie. It was pure MAGIC! I was so touched that I could not stop crying.At the end the audience gave the movie a great and long run of applause! I saw it again in movie theaters many other times. And the pleasure I felt each time I saw it again was greater and greater. After the fifth time I started going to the cinema to see the other people's reaction to it. It was incredible the way the movie pleased all kinds of people (the young, the old, men, women, etc). I am so glad I can share this experience with people from all over the world! Thank you for the oportunity of having it in video! WATCH CENTRAL STATION, and if you're at least a little bit sensitive you'll have an extraordinary experience!
