Movie Reviews of Celtic WomanMovie Review: Cetic Woman blew me away!! Summary: 5 Stars
I first saw Celtic woman on PBS during their pledge. I was blown away by these talented woman who gave wonderful performances throughout the show. I was really touched by Chloe Agnews' performances as she is only 15! The orchestra was completely marvelous with the great arrangments by David Downes. I immediately ordered the DVD and have watched it everyday since I recieved it! I brought it home for my parents to watch and they loved it and are going to purchase some for their friends. If their was such a rating as 20 stars , I would give it to this!!!!1 I'm definately going to see it live this summer in Boston. I can't reccomend it highly enough!!
Movie Review: The angels in heaven were taking notes when these lady's were singing! Summary: 5 Stars
If I were to give a thousand compliments it would still be to little to describe this concert. Chloe Agnew start the concert a beautiful young lady only 15 years old at the time set in motion a singing event that the heavens themselves stood still to listen to. The full orchestra that played while these lady's sang gave a sound that put the angels in heaven on notice that you can be replaced. Lisa Kelly's "May It Be" was so great I do not even have a word to describe it. Even the camera as it scanned to the singer then to the orchestra band players was done with such perfection ,WOW what a treat this was to watch. from ray in ohio
Movie Review: You've Seen This on PBS, So Buy It! Summary: 5 Stars
Really a very fine collection of great Celtic croons! If you enjoy the pure clarity of Celtic female vocalists, such as Enya or Loreena McKennit, you will definitely be pleased with this album.
I have given this as a gift to many friends, and all have been most happy with the album!
Downside? Well, there could be more songs on the album...but there is a sequel or companion album available, now...so that is not a very valid complaint.
I suggest breaking the album selections up with a few Juluka or Ladysmith Black Mambazo songs, just to give contrast and variety.
Enjoy!
Movie Review: Celtic Voice Summary: 5 Stars
I have always been a big fan of Celtic Music - My blood stirs. I am an American, but I reckon it's my 50% Scotch-Irish heritidge.
I was first introduced to Máiréad Nesbitt's fiddle and voice in an album entitled "Celtic Women" (one of the Clancy women was also featured) that predates this album/video by several years. The entry was a kids song, Dúlaman, (about a vegetable per the album song info) sung entirely in Celtic by Máiréad.
I also have the audio CD. The DVD proves the quartet's looks match their sound. All are beautiful singers.
Movie Review: Personal Review of Celtic Woman Summary: 5 Stars
A most uplifting and inspirational production that I have seen since "Riverdance". You can put all your emotions into the music and song. Its the type of music that inspires the soul and uplifts the spirit.
"Close your eyes, listen and relax and for a few precious moments, all seems well and good with the rest of the world.
The production and music composition of such outstanding performers is really beyond words.
I would definitely recommend it to those who can really appreciate such excellence in this type of sound and music.
Respectfully
