Movie Review: Even better in concert

I also saw Celtic Woman on a PBS pledge drive. I was working on the computer and had the tv on behind me and heard the most beautiful voices I've heard in a long time. I stopped what I was doing, flipped around, and was glued to the tv until the show was over. Then I immediately went to Amazon.com and ordered the cd and DVD. Both are fantastic. Unlike others, I have no problems with the audio in Dolby Digital on the DVD version. I had to see these performers live, so I ordered tickets for their show in Peoria, Illinois a few weeks ago. They put on a great concert and sounded incredible. The visuals during the concert were also amazing and had sort of a three dimensional look. I'll be attending another one of their concerts before their US tour ends. I can't get enough of Celtic Woman!Movie Review: This one is a keeper!

I can't imagine a better DVD to simply chill out with. How can you beat great music presented so tastefully by ladies who are also easy on the eyes. The whole concert is an audible and visual feast. This was a very pleasant surprise. Being a casual soloist from time to time in church myself, I was awestruck by how easily the sounds flowed from these girls. They make it look so effortless - but I know its not. The special features are also great. All the performers are interviewed, including David Downs, the arranger and conductor. This kid is young enough to be my youngest son - what an incredible talent and he's been at it for some time. Plus most of them have their own websites so you can discover and enjoy more of their music. We will enjoy this one over and over again.Movie Review: Heavenly Music on Earth

I am very grateful to Meav for the most wonderful sound of music that she and other four Irish girls (Celtic Woman) have given to our global village. For example, because of my father in heaven, there is an extremely deep meaning to me inside the song "You Raised Me Up" that I have heard so many different artists performing; however, no one else can sing it better than this group from Ireland. I still remember one little boy who used to see this world by sitting on the shoulders of one scientific & spiritual giant--my father. Although the boy has fully grown up and the giant has completed his mission on earth, now riding on the wings of such heavenly music on earth, I have been uplifted higher and higher that I can see beyond the horizon...Movie Review: Superb, vibrant and delightful performances

I thought of getting the CD, but I wanted to see this performance for myself. When it arrived today I put it on the big screen and turned up the surround sound and enjoyed a wonderful superb performance. My son's really enjoyed it too and want the CD. I don't know how any music loving person could give this a bad review, unless there not all there.
Yes you can tell that the DVD has been edited and dubbed like any concert DVD. This is especially noticable when Meav has her microphone on her left cheek and then it shows on her right later in the same song. Some words don't look synced, but who really cares, it's a great DVD and I would buy it again in a second. I'm sure the LIVE concert would be great to see in person.
Movie Review: Angelic Concert

Having seen this on PBS during their fund-raising period, I couldn't wait to buy it on DVD. We recently bought a new Chrysler Town & Country minivan with a DVD Mobile Theater built in. Since I don't have a home theater system, I tried this out in the van on a day trip the other day. What an experience! Being the driver, I couldn't see the concert, but didn't need to because it can stand alone as a wonderful experience without any visuals. The surround sound mix is glorious and the angelic voices of all the singers must be experienced to believe.
It's my favorite concert DVD now, and if not for the gas price problem, I'd wish I had a longer commute! True music aficionados should run, not walk to buy this DVD.
