Movie Reviews of Catch That Kid

Movie Review: Teenproof
Summary: 4 Stars

It reminded me of a movie called "Foolproof" with three people pretending to rob a bank as a game, but then a criminal steals their plan. Anyway this is a nice family movie. It may be a bit over the top in couple places, but what action movie isn't. One reviewer mentioned the "Italian Job", and their is some likeness to it as well. The movie has it's own unique story and I didn't feel as though I had seen it before. The kids playing the key characters are engaging and don't have attitudes. That was what I found most refreshing. Sometimes attitude is needed to make a role convincing, but here it wasn't warranted, and they don't use any. In a nutshell the story revolves around three kids robbing a bank to get just the money they need so a father to one and friend to the other two can receive lifesaving surgery. Their method to do it is involved and interesting. The DVD is good quality and it has good replayability for families with kids.

Movie Review: Fun Kid to watch with the kids
Summary: 4 Stars

I just watched this movie with my two boys (ages 11 and 8) and while there are holes in the plot and technical continuity to drive a truck through, as a tween-ager action flick this movie is great. I liked it better than the Spy Kids series.

The characters are very likable (with the exception of when Maddy manipulates the two boys into helping her rob the bank by lying about loving them) and though it is hard to get behind robbing the bank, it is definitely for a good cause -- to save her dad who Maddy idolizes. And when she does steal the money, she doesn't take any more than is actually needed. As one of the lines points out -- there was 24 million dollars in the vault; why would anyone just take 250K?

The ending is heartwarming and leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling.

If you are looking for an action flick that you and your kids can enjoy together, then this is a good one.

Movie Review: Better than Spy Kids and Agent Cody Banks!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I live in Australia and I just recently brought Catch That Kid on DVD. I think the movie is fantastic.

The Stupid thing about this DVD is that the only special features are deleted scenes and a thing called "Gone Nutty" which is okay. I would have rated this 5 stars but i like watching behind the scenes and stuff like that, i expected it to be the same as in the U.S. but i hear that over there it had a few more special features but even then it would have been a dissapointment because it still has like only 4 special features.

It wasn't worth the money for a DVD i could have purchased the video instead but i still LOVE the movie, i guess thats kind of all that really counts...

Movie Review: A Good Movie
Summary: 4 Stars

Yeah, so maybe this is not the message you want to send to kids, but it is a movie. A good movie with a story behind it. Certaintly adults don't care much for it. "They Shouldn't" It's a kids movie. I recomend you watch is more than once before you judge it. Besides Its not like Children don't hear about theft on the news.

Movie Review: Fun for the kids
Summary: 4 Stars

Childish movie that kids will like. It was kind of a cross between Adventures in Babby Setting and Zoom Acadamy.
