Movie Review: The Movie of The Book that gave us The Phrase
Summary: 5 Stars

The story of hwo the world is just naturly so screwed up that it makes perfect sence to bomb your own airbase, on contract.

The book makes a much better point of how each person doing what is right and sain for himself leads to a completly insain world, EVERYONE is doing his best to the best of his ability untill Yosarian asks the question "If I report that I am scard to fly, that proves that I am sain, and have to fly. But if I am insain than I have to be grounded, because you can't let a nut fly. But if I report that I'm nuts, that proves that I am sain and have to fly"

Movie Review: A great crazy film
Summary: 5 Stars

A classic film for the thinker. A film wrapped in the philosophical thinking of just how futile war is - philosophical but rather truthful in some respects. Some DVDs are edited for some reason omitting a great scene revolving around the camp doctor who is alive but everyone treats him as if he were dead [this scene is rather crucial in the beginning of the film and for some reason it has been cut].

Many people compare this to the book, but it really stands on its own as a truly wonderful peice of movie making. This ranks right up there with Dr. Strangelove. It is quirky, hilarious, and very well acted. If you liked Dr. Strangelove, you will like this movie. There are very few movies that stand up to expectations when comparing them to a book read and that is not really fair to this gem.

As you always hear, this movie was not quite as funny as the book. But I still loved it; Alan Arkin is hillarious and his role as Yossarian was awesome. This movie is required for any serious comedy collection!
