Movie Review: Re-live the joy of the Magic Garden
Summary: 5 Stars
If you have fond memories of "The Magic Garden" get this DVD. I grew up with this show in Queens, New York in the `70s and Paul, Carole, Sherlock, the Giggle Patch, the Magic Tree were all a positive part of my childhood.
The DVD has 10 of the original 52 episode spanning the entire shows broadcast life from 1972 to 1984. The DVD has some video type scratches but nothing that will detract from the enjoyment of this wonderful show. Disc#2 has an all too short interview with Paula and Carole which seems to have been made recently. I wish this was longer.
Included is a CD of 6 songs performed by Carole and Paula, another wonderful aspect of their chemistry which makes the show so timeless. There is also has a 6 page color pamphlet with information on the show, Carole, Paula, Cary Antebi (Sherlock & Flapper),a letter from Carole and Paula and a couple of promotional photos.
I hope they bring the remaining shows to DVD one day soon so we and our children can relive and the magic.
