Movie Reviews of Carlito's WayMovie Review: Super De Palma! Summary: 5 Stars
You can't beat the combo of Brian De Palma and Al Pacino. This film excels in every way and rivals Pacino's flawless performance in 'Scarface'. Solid acting from all, imaginative photography and well written story come together to make this a winner. Even Sean Penn (who has never been a favorite of mine) turns in a fine showing in this crime thriller. The train station climax is one of the most gripping scenes of its type that I've ever seen. No weaknesses in this gem that I could find. No Pacino collection is complete without "Carlito's Way".
Movie Review: Carlitos Way Summary: 5 Stars
This is my favorite all-time movie. Al Pacino and Sean Penn and excellent, and the directing by Brian Depalma is brillant. Carlitos Way is a fast paced action/adventure film where the characters of the film are strongly developed. Carlito Bergante is a strong willed, reformed individual in New York City whos past keeps coming back to haunt him as he trys to walk the straight and narrow. I believe this to be Al Pacino's best film, and a timeless classic for all to enjoy!
Movie Review: Brilliant Gangster Movie Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is up there with Scarface, and the Godfather, fantastic. A great script, and brilliant performances by Pacino and Penn. If you like Gangster movies you will love this one, but even if your not a fan of the genre you should still see it, in my opinion everyone should see it. Its a story about a gangster that gets out of prison early, and wants so badly to go straight, but is brought back into the old world that put him in prison, by his so-called friends.
Movie Review: It was a great movie, great plot with lots of suspense! Summary: 5 Stars
In this wonderful masterpiece, Carlito Brigante (Pacino) gets out of a 30-year sentence from his cocaine addicted lawyer Kleinfeld (Penn). He vows to go straight but no one really buys it. He meets his one time love, and vows to her to go legit. But then his lawyer has a favor... I can't say no more from there, the suspense is to great! Penn was great, but Pacino was the bonus. Another great DePalma film. If you haven't watched Carlito's Way, rent it!!!
Movie Review: ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE Summary: 5 Stars
This film just gets better every time I watch it. What the helldoes Sean Penn have to do to get an Oscar??? Pacino is masterful asalways, but Penn steals the show in this one. He is almost unrecognisable as the wimpy, disloyal lawyer Klienfeld. Why was the ending shown at the beginning though? Sometimes it can work, but in this one it takes something away from the viewer. Do not miss this one, so many have and it's their loss.
