Movie Review: Beyond Baby Einstein!

This show is a great fun introduction to spanish for preschoolers and young children. This DVD goes way beyond the spanish "Baby Einstein" DVD, and would be a great next step for children. It stars Susy Dorn a talented educator, entertainer, composer and native spanish speaker. In short chapters she introduces different concepts such as numbers, the alphabet, colors, animals, parts of the body and many more. This DVD is very entertaining as well as educational, it is a spanish immersion program but by clever use of puppets and animation the meanings of the words are easy to understand and learn. The DVD includes spanish subtitles which have helped my daughter learn to read spanish words also! This DVD is not a big budget video like Baby Einstein but I think it is much better value with around 50 minutes of fun which includes loads of spanish vocabulary. This DVD is aimed at preschoolers and young children so is a great introduction or next step beyond Baby Einstein. We also have the CD of the same name which is great for reinforcement as we can continue the learning in the car.
