Movie Review: TWO THUMBS UP !!!

AS I HAVE WRITTEN IN OTHER HORROR MOVIE REVIEWS, CANDYMAN IS A WONDERFUL CLASSIC THAT GAVE ME MY FIRST NIGHTMARE IN YEARS. IT WASNT JUST THAT I WAS FRIGHTENED, THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THE FOLKLORE/LEGEND GOT TO ME. I WAS YOUNG, IMPRESSIONABLE, AND OF COURSE SO VERY BRAVE. AT A SLEEP OVER, SOME FRIENDS AND I HAD RENTED THE MOVIE.RIGHT AFTER WATCHING THE MOVIE, WE FELT THE NEED TO PUSH THE ENVELOPE OF OUR OWN BOREDOM AND SPK THE UNSPKABLE NAME FIVE TIMES IN THE MIRROR. OF COURSE GIGGLING TEENS THAT WE WERE IT TOOK A FEW TIMES TO BUILD UP THE INITIAL COURAGE, BUT ALAS WE DID IT...AND NOTHING. BUT STILL THAT NIGHT IT LEFT ITS LASTING IMPRESSION ON ME AND MY YOUNG MIND, PRODUCING A MOST GRUESOME NIGHTMARE. MAYBE IT WAS OWN SUBCONCIOUS OR MAYBE THE LEGENDS TRUE WHO KNOWS, I JUST KNOW THAT FROM THAT DAY FORWARD I NEVER SPK HIS NAME ( CANDYMAN ) NOR HERS (BLOODY MARY ) IN A JKING FASHION AGAIN. I JUST KNOW THAT CANDYMAN FREAKED ME OUT....AND THAT IS WHY IT DESERVES THE SHEER RESPECT OF HORROR CRITICS ALIKE***Movie Review: Sweets for the sweet

Its one of Clive Barkers best. Pure classic, this film is perfect from the music to the acting of Tony Todd, and Virginia Madieson, and the look of the film is beautiful. If you haven't seen this film your missing out.Movie Review: Overall a Pretty Good Film

This movie stands out for its on-location depiction of inner-city Chicago. It is an urban Chicago movie which gives you a real flavor of Chicago. To make matters more intersting it deals with the notorious Cabrini-Green housing projects too, with great authenticity. It deals with inner-city Blacks in a frank and believable manner. The story line is pretty strong and the performances are good. A good B movie over all, a low budget gritty true-to-life movie that will only get better with time. Oh, and it is creepy and scary too.Movie Review: Clive Is At it Again!

Clive Barker leaves one good horror series and starts another good one. Candy is a great horror movie with loads or gore and violence. The plot is good and we get to learn about Candyman and what he is like. This does deserve 5/5 stars, Tony Todd was terrific. Movie Review: COME WITH ME!

WHen this film was release nationwide , I went to the theaters for a look back in the early 90's, I remember my experience watching it on the big screen, my friends and I got dizzy, it certainly hypnotized us. Fun, Freaky Film, watch it on a big screen t.v. in the dark, if you dont watch this frequently , you'll get some kicks out of it.
