Movie Review: Still scary
Summary: 4 Stars
I re-watched a lot of movies that I vaguely remember watching as a kid and most don't hold up, especially the horror movies. One of the exceptions is Candyman which still scares the crap out of me. I really enjoyed the fact that the entire concept is based on an urban legend.
As for a recommendation, if you enjoy the early Hellraiser movies, you'll likely enjoy this movie as well. The scares are genuine and not based on cheesy effects from the 80's/90's.
Movie Review: Candyman, Candyman, Candyman

This is a very good movie about an Urban Legend, the Candyman.
The villian is also a hero, if that makes sense. He was lynched
for loving a white woman during slavery times. He gets his revenge.
I only wished that he picked his vitims in a different way. But he is
a very powerful figure, it is nice to see Black Men in this role, not
everything is Jason, Freddy, or the Michael Myers. Way to go, a classic
and a must see.

This movie is one of the best horror films I have ever seen. The premise and plot are realistic and scary, and the spinetingling moments peppered throughout as well as the visual effects make for a delicious treat. The ending is no less surprising than the startling relevations that come near the end of the movie. WHen this film was release nationwide , I went to the theaters for a look back in the early 90's, I remember my experience watching it on the big screen, my friends and I got dizzy, it certainly hypnotized us. THIS MOVIE IS SORT OF confusing CAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW REALLY WHATS GOING ON.BUT I STILL LIKE THIS MOVIE.I THINK YOU SHOULD BUY THE FIRST AND SECOND SCARYEST MOVIE TO ME BECAUSE AFTER WATCHING THE MOVIE MY HAIR FELL IN MY FACE AND I SCEAMED MY HEART OUT AFTER RELIZING IT WAS MY HAIR I FELT SO STUIPID.
