Movie Review: Most WONDERFUL Doris Day movie ever!
Summary: 5 Stars
This brings back SO many memories for me. As a child, my grandmother and I would watch musicals such as Calamity Jane, Tammy and the Bachelor, Oklahoma, and Showboat...however, this movie stands as my ALL time favorite...I fell in love with Calamity Jane at the young age of 8 or 9 and she will forever remain in my heart and mind a symbol of comedy and humor. This is a most recommended movie for all of you classical movie lovers out there. It just doesnt get any better than this!Movie Review: Not a Calamity, that's for sure!

Doris Day is nothing short of a real gem in this film (as always, really). Our favourite song and absolute stand-out track is certainly 'Just Blew In From The Windy City', but it was her song 'Secret Love' that seems to be the most recognised in bio films of the stars life. Consistant storyline, clever dialogue, wonderful songs, choreography and humour. This film has it all: a true classic and must-have for all musical and Doris fans :-)

Movie Review: Doris Day=AMAZING!

I initally bought this DVD because our local theater group was going to put on Calamity Jane and I got the part of Calamity! I wanted inspiration and more insight into the character, and boy I got it! Doris Day was so great in this film, I never get sick of watching it! Howard Keel was great in it as well. I especially loved the dancing, singing, and Calamity's never-ending spunkiness! I give it 5/5 all the way! All musical fans need to watch this!Movie Review: Perfectly Doris

This is one of my favorite Doris Day movies and one that I can watch over and over and over again. Doris is just plain fun. She enjoyed making this movie and it shows. The songs are great, the acting fun and the story is entertaining. Then there is that voice, the song "Take me Back to the Black Hills" in the horse drawn carrage is a movie steeler. If you are looking for just plain entertainment with a first rate cast, you can't go wrong.Movie Review: A Doris Day movie you will watch over and over!

I am a fan of all the Doris Day movies, but this one is my favorite. Its just the right mixture of humor, love, and music. You will find yourself singing along with most of the songs because they are so much fun. Doris Day is very funny as the rough and tough Calamity Jane and Howard Keel is an excellent Wild Bill Hickock. If you are a fan of musicals or Doris Day movies then this is a must have! The entire family will enjoy this one.
