Movie Reviews of CaddyshackMovie Review: Great Laughs Summary: 5 Stars
Rodney Dangerfield plays the guy we all love and would love to work or drink with, and in truth probably played a role that was natural and close to his true personality. Ted Knight, on the other hand, plays the prick role of Judge Smails so well, that for years after I could not seperate Knight from his character and hated him on sight whenever he appeared on TV.
Chevy Chase is great in supporting role as lazy playboy Ty Webb. Probably two dozen or more throwaway lines that have worked their way into America's lexicon. Comedy for those who love comedy.
Movie Review: Cinderella Story... Summary: 5 Stars
The first time I saw this movie I just had my wisdom teeth removed. As Carl the greenskeeper teed up the flowers and drove them into oblivion, I laughed so hard I popped out half the stitches in my mouth. It was well worth it.
The movie has a all-star cast of comics doing everything you always thought went on behind the scenes at an elite country club. Nothing is sacred. This may have been Ted Knight's last movie role. At least he went out on top.
This DVD is definitely not going into the "lumberyard".
Movie Review: Classic comedy Summary: 5 Stars
Caddyshack is one of those movies that you always go back to whenever you want a good laugh. It's a funny story and a funny setting as well and has that early eighties zany irreverent style that was so hilarious. I recommend this movie to anyone who is a Bill Murray fan or who just likes good movies in general. I also strongly recommend Stripes (Unrated Extended Cut). It's also extremely funny.
Movie Review: As the years go by, the perfection of his achievement only becomes more obvious Summary: 5 Stars
There haven't been many actors that gave a perfect performance in a film. Maybe just Brando in the Godfather, Eli Wallach in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and Ted Knight, here, in Caddyshack.
As the years go by, the perfection of his achievement only becomes more obvious. If the Academy had any credibility at all, they would honor Ted Knight with a posthumous Academy Award for this performance.
Movie Review: Comedy On The Links Summary: 5 Stars
Caddyshack is a hilarious comedy about golfers at a country club. Chevy Chase, Ted Knight, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray lead the cast down the fairways of laughter and mayhem. With all of the one liners and mixture of different actors, Caddyshack will not disappoint. Some mild language and some nudity, would still recommend for mature audiences. One of my favorite Chevy Chase films along with Vacation.
