Movie Review: Bug Is In Your Future
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a classic film. Anyone who says otherwise, just didn't get it. What this film depicts is the decent of two individuals, both with troubled pasts, into madness - and a fairly accurate portryal of madness at that (the two main characters could easily be diagnosed with Shared Psychotic Disorder). Ashly Judd does an amazing job of buying into her mysterious new man's delusional world of bug infestation, and it only gets better as the film progresses. And the ending is classic - right up there with Requium For A Dream, in my opinion. Run, don't walk to rent or buy this film the day it comes out!Movie Review: Excellent

This is not a movie for the those with short attention spans, and it isn't a horror movie strictly speaking. Having dealt with psychotic, delusional people in real life, the movie really made a lot of sense. This is the horror of everyday life lived with serious untreated mental illness.
So, don't watch it if you expect some cheesy bug horror flick. Also, those of you considering giving it a negative review based on your marketing-driven expectations should think twice. Movie studios are notoriously stupid and have a long history of misunderstanding and mispromoting avant-garde films.

Gives you a tiny clue of what to expect ..... alsolutely award worthy performances from all - ASHLEY JUDD is so underrated as a performer! Academy please take note of this virtuoso performance ....this actress is 'old star' quality and deserves more recognition!
Don't want to spoil too much .... but it's 'thumbline' being trapped in someone's 'reality' then indulging that person ...then ...looking closely ........
Highly recommended - if you liked Polanski's "The Tenant" and especially "Repulsion" - this one's for U.

I have read a lot of negative reviews for this movie.. and as far as i can tell they are from horror fans who thought that this was going to be a horror movie.. it is not. it is a phsychological thriller that is centered around two peoples downward spiral into drug induced paranoria and delusions. I admit i thought this was going to be a horror movie myself but was pleasantly surprised. this movie is deep and very well acted. if you like your movies real then check this out. but be prepared that it is not for everyone these people are sick.Movie Review: Amazing that no one seems to get it !

It's so frustrating to read the reviews of this movie. People bitch about all the remakes and lack of original material in movies today and then they rip apart this amazing movie ! I will agree that it wasn't marketed honestly but c'mon...the performances were perfection and if Ashley Judd doesn't get some award recognition...which I'm sure she won't...then I give up. Acting doesn't get any better and this movie deserves some recognition.
