Movie Review: Shows growth from airhead to savior-of-the-world
Summary: 4 Stars
Don't get me wrong, I loved Sarah Michelle as TV Buffy, but she was mostly just a static character who didn't grow or change much in any given episode (that's the nature of a TV series).
Here in the Movie you see Buffy grow and mature from a cluesess airhead cheerleader to someone who really can make a difference in the world and maybe save it from the forces of evil. Donald Southerland does a brilliant job at being her mentor and turning her around.
Movie Review: Kristy IS Buffy

This movie is really fun. The plot is good enough, but Kristy Swanson is sooo much cooler than Sarah Michelle Gellar, and much hotter. And Luke Perry is, as always, excellent. There are some flaws, but unless your completely anal about it, you won't notice it. I recommend it for everyone who's interrested in some entertainment. This was supposed to be a comedy. Many who know the series were disappointed when they rented or bought the movie. We saw the movie first and were skepical about the series. Well, we enjoy both. this is quite good, but there are a few bits that you will fit strange if you are used to the Buffy TV series 1 one them is vampire hovering/flying + vampires dont turn to dust. If you are a big buffy fan then you need to buy this.Movie Review: Cheesy, comedic fun.

This is a great movie for the lighthearted, cheesy, comedic angle. I prefer this type of thing to the TV series, which takes itself WAY to seriously. This movie is a great lighthearted laugh or two.
