Movie Reviews of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Movie Review: Sometimes Changes are Needed
Summary: 5 Stars

Well, let me start off by saying I love he "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" show, and I greatly appreciate Sarah Michelle Gellar. She is so awesome. This movie isn't all that bad. It's pretty cool to see Buffy without the complicating problems (lie lesbian friends or dating a Vampire). Although, don't get me wrong, the show is most definetly better than the movie. But, if you are an avid Buffy fan, than I strongly recommend this movie to get the roots of Buffy. Definetly a great movie for its time, although Luke Perry is... nothing. Buy this movie if you're a fan, or buy it if you think you'd like to become a fan! Just remember, the show is TOTALLY BETTER! But this is a good shot at it!

Movie Review: The Ultimate Rom-Com with Vampires in the Valley
Summary: 5 Stars

With the exception of Luke Perry's painful portrayal of a 20-something year car mechanic turned love interest, the film stand as a pillar for sensationalism brought on by the following TV series. As an avid fan of the sho, I found the discontinuity in the plot somewhat pesky but nothing significant enough to detract from this testament to the wonderful era of Dr. Marten wearing valley girls with one liners to last a lifetime.

Basically Clueless meets Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula but with more spandex and David Arquette AND PEE WEE HERMAN!!

Movie Review: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Summary: 5 Stars

First off I'm a fan of the show too but that doesn't mean the movie isn't good! After all its what started the show. And I think that even thow Sarah Michelle Gellar does a great job playing Buffy, that Kristy Swanson does a perfect job of playing the bubbly air head valley girl character to the extreme! And one of Luke Perry's best performs yet. Because we all know he does a pretty good job of playing Dlyan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210! But it also has lots of other great stars like: Donald Sutherland, Hillary Swank, Ben Affleck, and David Arquitte.

Movie Review: Perry shines in first Role
Summary: 5 Stars

I have never been a huge fan of Luke Perry, but his quirky gestures and charming lines promote a positive contribution to the film. Perry plays Pike, a rebel who is yearning to make a life for himself outside of L.A.
This is halted when he learns that the town is being taken over by blood suckers from the grave. I think this film was a great role for Perry, but it most certainly did not help his career. But isn't Pike a great character name?

Movie Review: Must for Buffy
Summary: 5 Stars

The movie is quite different from the series and is a gem in itself. Although often rated in guides with one star or less, this movie is greatly underated. For those who enjoy campy, cult films this is one of the best. It laughs at itself and the viewer laughs with it. The endless death scene is an excellent example. Recommended even for those who do not follow the series, absolutely required for those who do.
