Movie Reviews of Broadway Melody of 1940Movie Review: Wow! Summary: 5 Stars
Two of the greatest dancers of the era, Fred Astaire and Elanor Powell, in a show full of great music and a pretty good story, what could be wrong with that. NOTHING.
Nice copy, good sound and picture quality, if you like the old musicals and don't have this on now is your chance.
Heck even George Murphy is good in it.
Movie Review: BUT WHERE ARE THE OTHER 2 BROADWAY MELODIES 1936 & 1938.....AND HOW ABOUT AN ELEANOR POWELL BOX SET, TOO??? Summary: 5 Stars
Doesn't everybody want to hear Judy Garland sing "You Made Me Love You" to Clark Gable's picture from B.M. of 1938? And why is this movie (B.M. of 1940) Eleanor Powell's only one on DVD??? She should have a Box Set released in the near future. Come on, Warner Bros.!
Movie Review: Broadyway Melody of 1940 Summary: 5 Stars
Wow.....This was such an exciting movie to watch. Eleanor Powell, Fred Astaire, and George Murphy. Eleanor & Fred were amazing. An added bonus of George Murphy...George also danced with Shirley Temple in Little Miss Broadway. Doesn't get much better than that.
Movie Review: Broadway Melody 1940 Summary: 5 Stars
The best dance movie featuring Fred Astire and Elanor Powell.
The story line is okay but the dancing is magical.Broadway Melody of 1940
Movie Review: Most Amazing Tap Dancing Ever Seen! Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is a definite must for those who enjoy tap dancing from beginning to end! It's quite a treat for tap dancers and you may even pick up a shuffle or two!! In my opinion, this is the best Fred Astaire performance I've ever seen.
