Movie Review: Prescient
Summary: 5 Stars
The overall impact of this brilliant, and, I believe, prescient film is that of a visual and emotional assault. The socio-political reality of the world since Gilliam created Brazil shows he isn't just some paranoid, sci-fi flake. We are moving in the direction he envisioned. Makes me feel like someone watching two trains about to collide--you can see the tragedy in motion ages before it happens, but you can't stop it anyway. The tacked-on, Hollywood ending doesn't vitiate the film as Gilliam feared.Movie Review: The DVD has extra scenes to my all-time favorite movie

Brazil is my all-time favorite movie. I have seen it a number of times, and was quite pleased to see the two added scenes that I had not seen before. They don't add a whole lot to an already incredible story, but they do make the entire rescue/escape scene more interesting.I watched the movie with a friend who had never seen it before, and we discussed it afterwards. He thought the ending was fairly dark, and in some ways I agree. But, for Sam, it's a happy ending, because he's in Brazil.

A masterpiece. I've seen hundreds of movies, and this one ranks up there with Citizen Kane or Casablanca. Perhaps too intellectual at times, perhaps too darn obvious in its symbolism, the final message is as complex as they come: isn't "Brazil" already happening? If you can take your movies deep and appreciate re-viewing value, buy it! If you only want to be entertained, and detest blatant intellectualism or just British black humour is not your cup of tea, skip it!Movie Review: More than a dash of Kafka

Brazil is a great film that is made in the same vein as 1984 and Brave New World. This is a trippy movie that has all the elements of a film maker who has been let loose to do as he pleases. You will enjoy it if you are expecting madness in a David Lynch sort of way and who could not forget DeNiro in his roll as the SAS type plumber flying around the city. This is a crazy movie and has a remarkably unsettling plot twist in the end. Zany movies do not come much better than Brazil.Movie Review: this film rocked

What a film,the incredible story,acting,filming,directing and so on,it was just mind blowing, as you can tell I love Terry gilliam's films although not yet a gilliam feak I'm gitting their, but back to Brazil, it is strage and wonderful movie that was so intreging that the last half hour of the movie I was amazed at how I couldn't tell if he was dreaming or not.And the last seen I'm not going to give it away but I well say that it is an exordinary moment!just a great film!
