Movie Reviews of Braveheart (Sapphire Series) [Blu-ray]Movie Review: AWSUM CLASSIC IN NEW SKIN!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
The movie first off is a classic...as anyone knows by now!!!
As for the BluRay "Sapphire Series"....hopefully they will re-release a Golden Plated edition or sumthin!!! like everyone else has kinda mentioned...not so hot upscaling effects on sum spots - but great graphics overall!!!! I have personally never seen the DVD Release, I only had seen it on TV unfortunately....so the BluRay looks Freagin' Sweet Man!!!!!
The $[...]thingy kinda a screwball operation...you havta save your receipts for current purchase and send in your PROOF of PURCHASES!! Well my Transformers, Gladiator, and Forest Gump must not have these PROOF of PURCAHSE tabs since they were all the Special Edition walmart bought ones or sumthin'!!! I cannot cut out any part of the papers inside the DVD Leaflets that shows a "proof of purchase" that I bought it, to prove to them I can get my [...]per BluRay back!!!! LAME!!!!
Movie Review: Great buy. Summary: 5 Stars
Braveheart is my all time favorite movie and I have seen this movie over 40 times (no kidding) so I felt there was nothing about the movie itself that was going to entice me anymore. Inspite of that, I bought the Blu Ray disc to experience the hi-def version of the movie I love so dearly.. and boy, what an experience !! The highlands of Scottland, the war scenes, and just everything else in the movie just dazzled a million times over with the Blu Ray. I realized I was enjoying earlier whatever was possible with the standard def but I now get to see so much detail that the same movie becomes enticing all over again.
If you are a Braveheart fan, you've got to buy this one and experience the magic. And I am going to watch it 40 times all over again in Blue Ray - no kidding !!
Someday I might start a Braveheart Fan club. Meanwhile, enjoy this one !!

Movie Review: Braveheart looks fantastic in Blu Summary: 5 Stars
It's not historically accurate, blah, blah, blah.
Mel's been acting like a doo-doo head lately, blah, blah, blah.
Now that we have that out of the way, "Braveheart" remains a masterfully entertaining film.
Gibson presents a near perfect cinematic balance of emotion: love, passion, loss, humor, sadness and triumph in this epic-sized story about a guy from the 13th century who's righteously pi**ed off and courageously turns the tables on his oppressors.
From start to finish, this film looks fantastic in Blu-ray compared to the DVD - unlike too many other movies that are poorly transferred to high definition, there is no noise in any of the nightime/shadow or foggy scenes.
For fans of bonus materials, these are (mostly) also presented in high-def.
"Braveheart" on Blu is definitely worth the price of upgrading.
Movie Review: Great Film, Not for Young Children. Summary: 5 Stars
When Braveheart first came out, I wasn't interested in seeing it. I didn't have the stomach for blood and guts and could barely tolerate the Steven Seagal movies my husband asked me to watch with him. But I've grown pretty fond of Mel Gibson's acting over the years so I finally caved in and watched Braveheart.
This is definitely not a movie that should be watched with young children in the room. The scenery is breathtaking. The wars realistic. The plot inspiring. The violence is so gruesome and realistic that it fills you with so much emotion that you don't know whether to weep or get angry. And then there's the bittersweet love story that evolves between Wallace and Murron, the secret marriage, and the devastating murder of Murron. Be prepared to be an emotional wreck the first time you watch this film. It's that good!
I received a complimentary copy to review.
Movie Review: Great Bluray, but Amazon doesn't pay attention. Summary: 5 Stars
This transfer is fantastic. It has some grain, but it's supposed to have grain. Grain is what gives film it pleasant look. The colors are bold and vibrant. The black levels are deep and inky giving the picture a nice three-dimensional look. A great film that looks great on Blu-Ray.
But avoid purchasing this product from Amazon! I ordered and it didn't come with the slipcover that all Sapphire Series Blu-Rays are supposed to come with. I told Amazon customer service and they were quick to respond. But my replacement still didn't come with the slipcover. I don't feel like telling them again. After two tries, they should've sent the complete product. I'm keeping this copy, but I will not be buying anymore Sapphire Series from Amazon if they're not gonna include the full product.
