Movie Review: Beautiful, Brilliant & Butch
Summary: 5 Stars
I was beyond blown away by this stunning film. Gina Gershon who has rapidly become my favourite actress stars in this along with Jennifer Tilly (who I don't really care for, but plays her role quite well...)- its sexy, its suspensful and its smart. It avoids all of the hollywood cliches and consumes you with its creative and incredible plot twists.Corky (Gershon) is an ex-con who ends up working in a building that has mob-goings-on and meets Violet (Tilly) in the elevator one day while she's with her mob-boyfriend, Caeser (the guy from the sopranos) - there's instant attraction between the two females. The two inevitably submit to their desire and hook up - then conceiving a plan to rob the mob. It's really exciting and the girls have a really hot scene. (It's converted me, kind of - Gina Gershon herself has made me 20% Lesbian with this) Its really just a fabulous film - I HIGHLY recommend it.
Its entertaining, appealing and aesthetically pleasing (gershon).
Movie Review: One of my favorite films of all time

I rented this movie long ago, not having a clue what it was about (best way to watch a film), and it blew me away. The style and direction is amazing. It's not for everyone... for example, I raved about it to my brother, he saw it, and said I have weird taste in film (this is no romantic-comedy-type movie!).
The two lead females were so sexy together that it practically made me want to turn into a lesbian. But the best part was that when the action started, on top of all the suspense and action, you didn't know if the two woman were just using each other or really cared for each other.
This is a good film for people open to movies with violence, like if you were a fan of Pulp Fiction. It's a very smart film.
Another great movie that not a lot of people have heard about that was on Siskle and Ebert's top 10 list one year (I believe in the #1 spot) is One False Move-- a great film!
Movie Review: Not for the squeamish or straight girls
Summary: 5 Stars
I must confess that I was looking for something with a stronger rating; but even without hardcore content; this movie was HOT. Jennifer Tilly set me on fire with her ultimate female sensuallity, and there are a couple of scenes that may even make a straight girl wiggle in her seat. I loved every character, including the little weasel that got his face smashed for being a complete punk. This movie lets all the bad guys get WHACKED, and all the HOT girls get WET they deserve, with very realistic; (for the most part), and intriguiging action. It was such a great movie, that I had to watch the DIRECTORS NARRATION VERSION immeditatly afterword, even though I risked missing work for lack of sleep. If you find that you do like this movie, then I also recommend "Fingersmiths"; it is not quite as HOT but is an excellent movie that you will not be able to turn off until you have seen all 3 hours.Movie Review: a mix of murder, money, and a HOT relationship, though brief

This movie, a mix of murder and money, as two women (Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon) set out to "ripoff" [there's an old word for you] the Mob. Along the way, they enter into a "hot" relationship; though more brief than I thought. [When you see the looks they give each other at the beginning, you know some-
thing's gonna be up.] With Joe Pantoliano (Joey Pants, as some call him, of the Handler and soon Dr. Vegas) and Christopher Meloni (Stabler of Law and Order SVU) as one mean Mafia dude, there is enough suspense to make one wonder if the gals are going to get away with it. Tilly and Gershon are "hot", Tilly as the soft, sexy voiced, cutesy one and Gershon as snarly lipped, butch, one; with tatoos. As I said, there "love" scenes are limited, but they are extremely erotic. Not for the kids.
Movie Review: A great film

This is what I'm talking about. A film that has smart characters, so smart that you aren't sure that even YOU know what they will and wil not do, along with an acceptance of sexuality that it secondary to the plot. This movie could've been played by a man and a woman, two men, whatever, the point is that when opportunity knocks teh important thing is to be in tune enough with yourself to fling yourself into it.Jennifer Tilly is somewhere between hilarious and chilling as a woman who may or may not be a ditz, a bimbo, a conniver, a liar, a fool, depending upon how SHE decides and Gina Gershon plays a lesbian who thinks she's closed off to the seduction game, only to be seduced.
In the end I was even sure whether Gershon represented love to Tilly's character or simply the best opportunity.
A priceless gem of a movie.
