Movie Review: A spicy film!
Summary: 5 Stars
I've seen this film a couple of times over the years and I don't really remember much of the plot, when I first think of it. It's a very sexy film in a nice mystical way and that's what strikes me every time it screens on TV.There are so many films with quite a bit of sex in them, but this one really stands out, and no it doesn't stand out cause it's lesbian sex.
It's really well-made and I as a hetero sexual feel very relaxed and comfortably excited watching it. Why wouldn't I? Well, because a lot of the time homosexuality in particular and female sexuality in general (sometimes the sexuality of the male as well of course), screens as something unnatural and ugly. Sex is always twisted all sorts of ways in film, which sometimes can just get too much. Which I think this film handles really well - it has got quite a bit of naivety, whether it be false or not, in Jennifer's part and that combined with the rest of the film creates a thrilling result that manages to stay away from the traps of becoming just another crap film. If you think about it, the mob story on it's own isn't much to hang in a tree, but the girls really make this a spicy one! :-) I enjoy to watch it every once in a while, possibly because I don't really remember the story after a while, it feels knew every time I watch it!
Movie Review: Cinderella and the Princess

This is not so much a love story as a relationship story. It is not a terribly strong relationship story. If anything it is about taking a chance on the strength of a relationship and keeping commitments with potentially lost causes ... things work out this time if you can buy into the situation out in front. It is a pure fantasy to start off with. I can imagine calling it "Cinderella and the Princess" but the obvious Cinderella doesn't have any sisters that we know of and the Princess is low man on her totem-pole, for sure. Together, not really trusting each other, they commit to each other "anyway" and, when everything falls apart in the middle of the caper they hang tight and battle individually through to their eventual reunion. There is suspense. Once things get moving it is one change after another in rapid-fire succession until the very end. About half-way through you think it is almost over and then everything starts falling apart. It goes on and on and on. There is violence. It is sudden violence. Torture is depicted. There is lots of blood. There is not so much skin but there is a lot of female sexuality expressed. This is a story about sex and a couple of very tough chicks "walking tall".

THIS IS NOT THE STORY OF A FAT ITALIAN MOBSTER, NOR IS A MOVIE VERSION OF THE SUPRANOS, OR ANY OTHER MAFIA TALE PUT ON FILM.ITS SEXY, SUSPENSFUL AND WILL HAVE YOU HANGING ON EDGE FROM BEGINNING TO END. VIOLET (TILLY) IS THE LOVER OF A MOBSTER IN DEEP. SHE DOESNT CARE MUCH FOR THE BUISNESS BUT IT MAKES FOR NICE CASH AND HER LOVER CAESAR IS A GREAT MEAL TICKET. SHE DOESNT CARE MUCH FOR CAESAR EITHER BUT NEITHER DOES SHE FOR ANY OF HER OTHER TRICKS. THEN SHE MEETS CORKEY (GERSHON). A TOUGH TALKIN EX CON WHO JUST FINISHED UP A FIVE YEAR SENTENCE FOR "GETTING CAUGHT". VIOLETS IN LOVE, IN LUST, IN JUST ABOUT EVERY THING SHE COULD BE WITH CORKEY. THEN VIOLET BEGINS TO SUFFER FROM THE BUISNESS AND FINALLY COMES WITH THE CONCLUSION THAT SHE WANTS OUT AND THAT THEYD OFF HER JUST AS FAST AS ANY COMMON THUG. THEN THE BIG TICKET COMES IN 2 MILLION DOLLARS AND ALL IN THE HANDS OF CAESAR. ENOUGH AND MORE TO SET VIOLET AND CORKEY UP FOR LIFE. BOUND FOLLOWS THE TWO IN LOVE AND IN GREED. YOU LIKE SEX, ITS GOT PLENTY OF THAT AND VERY GRAPHICALLY I MIGHT ADD. YOU LIKE MOB MOVIES, ITS GOT THAT TOO, YOU LIKE SUSPENSE, THEIR TRYING TO RIP OFF THE MOB, YOU DO THE MATH. ITS A GREAT MOVIE.
Movie Review: The Wachowski Brothers' best film....
Summary: 5 Stars
I'm going out on a limb here, but I think this is the best work that the Wachowski Brothers have ever done. This is an awesome film noir, a film where you have no idea what's going to happen. I remember sweating bullets during it because, as an avid film person, I usually figure this stuff out. But this film kept me guessing until the end, which is something most modern films don't do.
Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon are awesome as the leads, and Joey Pantoliano gives a great, great performance as a deranged heavy that may lose it at any time. Many have made hay about the 2 lead characters being lesbians, which to me ultimately doesn't matter. The film itself is incredible tense and entertaining, and you forget about the fact that the two lead women are lesbians, even though the sex scenes are quite steamy.
For all of the fanfare of the Matrix films and the debacle of the Speed Racer film, it's nice to see this film and remember that the Wachowski Brothers actually can make a great film without CGI. This is their best film.
Movie Review: One of my Favorite movies ! I've seen numerous films.

Normally, I rarely watch a movie more than once, unless I want to share the experience with someone. However, *this* is one of my favorite movies, and I have seen it several times. In fact, when I worked in a movie store, while in college, I watched Prey for Rock & Roll specifically because Gina Gershon was in the flick, due to her role in Bound.
Bound is at times loud and violent, but the film also reveals subtle, sensual aspects of the characters that contrast with the angry gangster and the Tarantinoesque aspects of the movie.
I do not think that I could ever tire of seeing this film again, or sharing it with others. Whether you enjoy Gangster films, action films, or romantic films, this movie has something for nearly everyone. If you love lesbian erotica, then definitely give this film a viewing. don't rent it, purchase it; you'll want to see it (or at least segments of it) again and again.
