Movie Reviews of Born in East L.A.Movie Review: funny Summary: 4 Stars
What I liked best was the setting. Anyone who has lived in LA can tell you that's exactly the way life was in the Latino community. Sometimes the movie gets s little slow, but it's not too bad.
Movie Review: not all there Summary: 4 Stars
there was some footage deleted, like the wedding scene at the end.otherwise it was good quality.
Movie Review: A Golden Oldie! Summary: 4 Stars
I have always loved this movie. I think a re-release starring "Carlos Mencia" would be AWESOME!
Movie Review: Funny as Hell'o Summary: 4 Stars

Movie Review: 'Born In East L.A.' (Universal Studios) Running time: 90 minutes Summary: 3 Stars
In my humble opinion, 'Born In East L.A.' is a second rate comedy. Things start happening when Los Angeles native Rudy Robles (Cheech Marin - also directed the film) is sadly mistaken for an illegal alien. So, they try to deport him back to Mexico. He tries to contact his family, but his non-English speakin cousin Javier (Paul Rodriguez) cannot help him. There are several memorable / semi-amusing scenes here and there, but this movie is okay, just not great like many other patrons have said. Certainly not a classic - by any means. Cheech & Chong fans may get more out of it than I did.
