Movie Review: Richie Rocks!

This DVD, shot as a companion to his 2008 "Live in Sao Paulo" CD, is shot as a "one camera" type of look but the essence of the performance is all about Richie. Great guitar playing, ranging from his shredding white hot solo work in rockers like the opening, "Go Faster" and "Socialite" to more subtle bluesy licks in great mid tempo numbers like "Remember" and "Doing What The Devil Saya To Do". Through it all though, we get to hear Richie's most underrated talent, his soulful voice, which resonates throughout the performance. Whether it's the uber cool of "Fooled Again" or the catchy chorus and lyrics of "High", this "bootleg" delivers. A must for Kotzen fans.
