Movie Reviews of Bong WaterMovie Review: Bong Water Summary: 5 Stars
This movie started the careers for many of the actors. It was the first time I had seen Jack Black and Britney Murphy and handsome Luke Wilson. Watched "Bong Water" on T.V. late one night, many many years ago... Very funny, so I had to purchase it.. Excellent condition and well worth the watch especially if your a Hippie generation child..
Movie Review: FUNNY movie Summary: 5 Stars
GREAT pot-head, laugh fest movie. I thought my luck was bad until I saw this guy! Jack Black makes a small but FUNNY appearance as a trippin' farmer. A must have for any Cheech & Chong collector!
Movie Review: Soundtrack Summary: 5 Stars
Does anyone know the soundtrack listing for this movie? The last song is great!
Movie Review: great bad movie Summary: 4 Stars
if you are a true fan of the 'B' movie..you'll love it! Cheesy stoner plot with a all star actor line up. Funny as hell, just a little slow to start. and if you have seen it, what is up with the Aliens..?
Movie Review: Great but shifts halfway through and is strange Summary: 3 Stars
Weird. This movie starts out centering on Luke Wilson and his art-dealings and pot-dealings, not to mention the trials and tribulations of his love life. Then about halfway through, around the time Jack Black's character is introduced, Wilson's character sort of goes away and we are treated to a pretty odd rape scene and lots of general weirdness that has nothing to do with the original story line. This is a pretty daring move, to just give the protagonist a back-seat to other, less story-driven rambling narrative techniques (acid trips and the like). While I found myself enjoying it to a point, I find it very curious indeed. The writers must have been stoooned. Even on the DVD cover, Jack Black takes a prominent place. When the movie begins, it is Luke Wilson's show. Very, very curious. Also Jeremy Sisto seems entirely out-of-place as the gay bf, he is just way way too Wooden and it seems like he is in the wrong movie. Andy Dick is good, as is Wilson. The girls are primarily forgettable and Jack Black chews the scenery, plays some Tenacious D songs and generally derails the "plot line" (Which, admittedly, wasn't all that focused to being with). IF you like bizarre stoner humor (not really Wes Anderson, as another reviewer described it) that doesn't quite add up to much and shifts tonally back and forth like an acid-tripping pendulum, then you might find something to like. I thought it was a little long, given the subject matter. Strange, is all I can say. Watch it high.
