Movie Review: Similar to the others.
Summary: 4 Stars
New storyline, but very similar to all the other Bob the Builder movies. If you have a Bob the Builder nut, then this will be a hit! If you don't, then the kids may just watch it once or twice. Never have to worry about content with Bob the Builder's. Appropriate for any age (mine are 3 and 5)
Summary of Bob the Builder - The Big Game
Game time is hours away, but Bob the Builder and his friends are ready to play! As Wendy and the machines are prepping the soccer field for the big game, Spud sends the line-marking machine running amok. Can everyone fix the line before the game? Yes, they can! Then, it?'s almost time for tennis when the merry builders put the finishing touches on the tennis court. Unfortunately, Spud falls flat into the gooey green asphalt that Dizzy has just poured! Never fear. This team is unstoppable! And not even Spud can keep the builders down Ready! Set! Work!Bob's friend and co-worker, Wendy, is the star of the show in this installment of Nick Jr's popular animated program for preschoolers. The 45-minute feature includes four stories plus an additional four mini-adventures. The plucky blonde supervises the resurfacing of a road when Bob falls ill in "Wendy's Busy Day," saves the day when he bungles a painting job in "Wallpaper Wendy," oversees the construction of a soccer field in "Wendy's Big Game," and fixes a tennis court after Spud the scarecrow falls into wet cement in "Wendy's Tennis Match." In each story, Wendy and Bob are joined by their building machines--Dizzy the cement mixer, Lofty the crane, Muck the bulldozer, etc.--who contribute something unique to each project. Even when things go wrong, the colorful, industrious characters treat each other with respect, work together to resolve conflicts, and take time out to have a little fun after each job. --Kathleen C.
