Movie Reviews of Blue Streak

Movie Review: One of the best featured comedy/action DVDs ever!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'll have to say that this is one of the best DVDS. It has very cool features. The sound and picture are very crisp. (Even better than being at the movies.) I'd buy this if you like comedy/action movies and if you love superb sound and picture and extra features. Buy it!!

Movie Review: talk about FUNNY!
Summary: 4 Stars

i saw Blue Streak visiting my cousins, and i loved it!!! the funniest part being where he dresses up in that crazy outfit and teeth and pretends to be delivering pizza, i laughed until i cried. i also loved the part when he drives carlsons car, and carlson freaks out!! i thought that martin Lawrence did a great job, i found myself rooting for him throughout the movie. i wasn't bored at all and even my mom, who usually doesn't like comedy nowdays laughed some of the time, thats about all, you gotta rent it!! or even better, buy it!

Movie Review: Federally?
Summary: 5 Stars

Blue Streak is a very entertaining film. Martin Lawrence hasn't been this funny since his birth. Blue Streak is a funny, sassy, action adventure that doesn't quit. It will hook you from the very beginning. The dvd release is appropriate, including two featurettes, music videos, and two presentations of the film (widescreen and full-screen.) The score is up-beat, and there are many memorable lines, most notable is the scene in which Martin Lawrence tries to beat a guy up, and socks him thru a glass door window, hahahahaa, cracks me up every time. The sound mix in BLUE STREAK is multidirectional, and is a pleasure to listen to in dolby digital 5.1. My favorite scene (soundwise) is the automobile chase finale. Very very FUNNY!

Movie Review: lame urban action comedy
Summary: 2 Stars

Like so many urban action laughfests, "Blue Streak" seems more interested in displaying a strutting, kick-ass attitude than providing a clever, character-driven comedy. Martin Lawrence, though a likable and energetic performer, is, alas, no Jim Carrey in the pratfall-and-mugging department and the film suffers as a result of it.

Lawrence portrays a wiseguy burgler who, through a slew of plot complications, finds himself masquerading as an iconoclastic police detective while endeavoring to retrieve the $17 million jewel he left behind in his last heist (in a building that has now been coverted into a downtown police station).

The modus operandi of these films - besides the inevitable car chases, shoot outs and, in this case, really queasy happy ending - is that, for the hipster comic's persona to work, all the characters surrounding him have to be dumber than dirt. Unfortunately, a comedy, like this one, set in a world inhabited by people much less intelligent than those in the audience, paradoxically, ends up not flattering us but insulting us all the more.

Movie Review: Blue Streak
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a must-see movie that Sisco and Ebertz would give 4 thumbs up to!!! Stars Martin Lawrence as a bank robber that goes undercover to get back a diamond he stole 2 years before. I give it an A+
