Movie Reviews of Blue October: Argue with a Tree...

Movie Review: 'Argue with a Tree' DVD
Summary: 5 Stars

I found this DVD absolutely amazing. The parts of the show itself were great and of really good quality. The emotion of each of the songs really comes across; more upbeat songs like 'Balance beam' and 'Italian Radio' make you want to jump and clap along whereas with songs like 'Ugly side', 'Black Orchid', 'For my brother' and 'Chameleon boy', you have to swallow your tears (or just let them out) like you see several people in the audience do.

The extras on the DVD are great as well; the Confessions, where some of the fans are filmed confessing what Blue October and/or some of their songs in particular mean to them, are really gripping. In the part called 'Sidewalk Chalk' Justin explains what some of the songs are about and how he came to writing them. This gives a lot of insight and adds a whole new depth and meaning to some of them.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend this DVD to anyone who even remotely likes Blue October. The live show part makes you feel like you're there with all the fans, and the extras give you information you'd otherwise not easily come across.
