The corny VHS and DVD 'nice-try' poor choice 'what' art gets ZERO! With the new images, I don't feel represent Elvis Presley, or this 50th State. Great Songs Outstanding Entertainer! Crummy mediocre new art. Buy the vinyl LP!

Movie Review: This is my favorite Elvis Movie...So Far

So, I haven't seen very many Elvis movies but this is the film that peaked my interest in watching the King's movies in the first place. He is truly mesmerizing. The scenery, music, and costumes in this movie are kitchy but perfect. It harkens back to a simplier time and place, which makes it a great counterbalance to all the crime dramas I love.
You might want to wait and catch on cable, but if you want a chance to sit back and enjoy a great, simple, colorful, and innocent movie, go ahead and splurge on this DVD.
Movie Review: Can't Help Fallin' In Love With This Movie

Mr Presley certainly wasn't a great actor, but this movie shows him off to his best advantage. The music isn't the usual bad Elvis movie music and the scenery is to doe for. The storyline could come from any family - a son trying to be independent, a father who wants son to follow in his footsteps, a dropdead gorgeous girlfriend who just isn't what HIS folks had in mind, outrageous friends and an airhead, over-protective mama dead-set on embarrassing the son at any given chance. The plot is easy to follow and even makes sense. OK, not everyone breaks into song on a horseback ride, but what the Hell ! The wedding scene ( oops, gave it away ) makes up for any gaffes.Movie Review: Blue Hawaii

I think this movie was above and beyond Elvis's usual movies. It has a cute plot and the scenery is unbelievable. If you are not a Elvis fan you will fall in love with the scenery.
