Movie Reviews of Bloody Murder 2

Movie Review: Camper, The Other White (And Dark!) Meat!
Summary: 5 Stars

Camp Placid Pines, home of summertime fun, childhood romances, and a plethora of slaughterhouse fantasies, is closing for the winter and its up to the councilors to see that its done correctly. Despite being the scene of the grizzly antics of Trevor Moorehouse - son of the meanest councilor the camp had ever seen and unfortunate victim of some vengeful campers - half a decade ago, it is now staffed and kept maintained, with people thinking that those events are once more behind them. Unfortunately for them, there is a lack of believers in the fold, a plethora of time in which to mutilate and to evoke damnation, too many bouts with nudity for a man with a mask on to ignore, and the sister of one of the first Moorehouse victims onboard.

Before watching this or reading my rating, be warned that this isn't given stars because it was some phenomenal rendition breathing breaths into an 80's remedy for boredom. In fact, Bloody Murder 2 isn't something that, in any way, shape, or form, can be mistaken for groundbreaking. Like many of the titles that have come before it, it deals with a legend, Trevor Moorehouse, who stalks the killing fields of the summertime getaways looking for fresh, preferably sexuality active, victims to introduce to a multitude of deaths. In these types of films there are always clichés attached to certain roles and methods formulated in their deaths, plus some way to get revenge in the end and to at least stop the killings and bring about a jaded form of closure. Added to that is the fact that the actors aren't normally good, the effects go for the graphic, the sequels reasoning is thinly based, and the only reasons to normally what this type of "who dies next" is to see people that play together lay together.
So, why the high rating?
Well, its because I'm a fan of movies of this nature, with little to no redeem qualities other than a bodycount and a cruel methodology of mutilation to maintain.

In this installment of the Moorehouse chronicles, the effects are nicely done (Bravo!) despite some of the deaths are clear mockeries of other movies. A bow is broken out, an axe, and other various instruments, digging into the supple skin of those least suspecting it and making it fun. Added to that is the fact that the screaming by some of the characters is some of the beast screaming I've heard from a male in quite some time, making me almost feel the plight of those suffering when I heard it. The way the dying is approached in some instances, the way the pain is levied and given, is also interesting, and it keeps the theme alive and running. And the sexuality, well, it isn't masked in this film and neither is the atypcial need for slasher film nudity.

Be warned, however, that this is something that slasher fans may find hit-or-miss and that you would definitely want to sample before buying. With a lack of inhibition, however, it may just be the perfect fit to a boring night for you.

Summary of Bloody Murder 2

The Killer Is Back To Finish The Job. It's been five years since Trevor Moorehouse terrorized Camp Placid Pines, piling up bodies like cords of wood. But now the counselors must close the camp for the winter - and they are not alone... Coming to Placid Pines is most difficult for Tracy, whose brother Jason was one of Trevor's first victims. Haunted by nightmares, Tracy is facing her worst fears, and when the counselors decide to play a game of Bloody Murder after a few drinks, the results are deadly. Tracy's nightmares begin to come true as one by one the counselors are brutally murdered. Someone is hunting them through the pitch-black forest and is determined to kill them all. Make no mistake about it - Trevor Moorehouse is back.
