Movie Reviews of Bloody Birthday

Movie Review: Quite Possibly The Perfect Movie...
Summary: 5 Stars

In BLOODY BIRTHDAY, three sociopathic 10 year olds murder the town sheriff, their school-teacher (Susan Strasberg), and a slew of naked teens! I particularly enjoyed Timmy (K.C. Martel), the one kid who the terrible trio cannot seem to kill! They lock him in an old refrigerator- He escapes! They try to shoot him (twice)- He is saved! One of the little creeps even tries to push him from a high place, only to be interrupted by the telephone! Yep, Timmy is indestructible, which infuriates the homicidal tots to no end! Go Timmy! The maniacal threesome themselves are so bratty and psychotic, that I hoped for their demise! BD is the perfect early 80s drive-in movie, especially since none of the adult females are able to keep their clothes on for very long at all...

Awesome!!!

If you like old movies from the early 1980s then you will like this one.
Hint Evil children
I liked this movie the first time that I saw it back in 1981 or 1982.
I was a young girl when I first saw this movie. At times, I thought that I dreamt of this movie that I imagined it. I was happy to see that amazon.com had a few copies for purchase. When I first got the DVD, I viewed this movie by myself. Later on that week, I watched this movie with my mother. She said it was ok. A few days afterward I watched this movie with my boyfriend. He had the same reaction that I did. If you want to know what reation that was then you must buy this DVD.

Movie Review: Yes, it is WIDESCREEN ANAMORPHIC ENHANCED
Summary: 5 Stars

OK, great film. Spooky, funny, sexy. The image quality not mind-blowing on this release, but hey, I'll take what I can get. It's been too long a wait for this. VCI needs to do more releases like this.

Someone said this is full-screen, and not anamorphic... but it actually is. Watched it on my friend's widescreen 16x9 TV, and it looked fine.

If you love this film, buy this DVD.

Movie Review: Hidden Piece of 80's Horror Hoopla
Summary: 4 Stars

OK, I was suspicious of this title initially, thinking how could any other horror movie capitalize on birthdays better than Happy Birthday to Me? Anyway, this gem for the diehard horror fan sells! It keeps you entertained! The film is obviously a "Halloween" knock-off, but many horror films from around this time were. I would characterize it as "Halloween" meets Village of the Damned. The camp value includes actress Susan Strasberg performing rather poorly as a school marm, and Julie Brown, who is better known for her song parodies ('Cause I'm A Blonde) than her acting. Yet, she does a great job portraying the requisite "hot gal" character in this type of movie. Also, note that one of the evil kids is portrayed by an actor who would later have a long career in television.

Check it out if you are hungering for horror from this era that hasn't really seen the light of day. If anything, it is a blast seeing the dreadful carpeting, wallpaper, etc. adorning the characters' homes in this flick!

Movie Review: 100% pure trash fun from 1981
Summary: 4 Stars

Kiddie killers movie that does everything other movies with psychopathic evil children don't."The Bad Seed" and"The Omen" are great classic horror films, but Bloody Birthday is just silly fun.Total sleaze and cheeze flick. If your into the so bad it's good kinda movie. Then by all means pick this little piece of schlock up.Can't beat the cheap price here on Amazon.Worth every pennyfull of bad acting, cheesy unbelievable kills and gratuitous nudity. Also worth getting is "The Pit" another killer kiddie movie that shares all the same qualities as "Bloody Birthday".
