If your an avid Blondie fan and/or DVD collector, then chances are you already own this DVD.
This is the same performance from the Beat Club (AKA. Musik Laden) that was released several years ago with a different cover and title: "The Best of the Beat Club live: Blondie"
Not the their best performance on DVD but great if your looking into early Blondie in their pre-hits era.
This DVD contains a few visually enternaining numbers...the music is pretty good considering Blondie weren't considered the best band live but they play it up in this one.
Very dated at almost 30 years ago but the sound and picture is exellent. From January 1978 supportign their Plastic Letters album that came out the next month.
So if your looking to fill your collection get it!

This DVD is a kick in the pants- It is more of less chronological, starting with very cool first TV appearances. It shows that the band was trying hard to adopt every new style that came along- including techno and Devo! (That was a flop). All of the performances were made for TV or videos, all are lipsynched. Sometimes Debbie forgot to mouth the words, but who cares! As hilarious as it is fun. But much of the camera work is terrible, junior staff at some local station trying to be artsy- the result is a lot of fast cuts and bad shots. and lots of big hair. The 1999 live concert DVD in NYC is not so hot, the band seemed to be really sweating it- we wonder- what does she look like now?Movie Review: EXCELLENT 1978 VINTAGE BLONDIE PERFORMING ON A GERMAN TV SHOW!!! This is a great DVD of "early" Blondie. Debbie is fantastic, and so is the band. This dvd contains some of their early songs. Debbie is a fantastic performer, and this dvd proves it!!! I just wish it was longer, but anything from Blondie is great!!! The approx. run time is only about 30 minutes or so, but every minute is very good. If you like Blondie, you'll like this DVD. Thanks!!!
