Movie Reviews of Blast From the Past

Movie Review: GREAT MOVIE EVEN FOR PRETEENS!
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was very heartwarming. The whole family enjoyed it. It was done innocently, and had alot of surprises. I thought Brendan Fraser was very good in this movie, but my favorite was Christopher Walken. I wish that there were people as innocent and unassuming as Brendan Fraser's character. I think it was very good for preteen girls to see what a "nice guy" is, since most movies nowadays play up the "bad boy" image. Chivalry is not dead. This movie is great!

Movie Review: Warm and Fuzzy...
Summary: 5 Stars

...O.k., I know, that's a really stupid title, but I can't think of any other way to explain how this movie makes me feel. I am "slightly older" than the main characters, but really appreciate their on screen warmth. I love this movie because it makes me laugh without vulgarity and it's sexy without a hint of nudity or even suggested intimacy. I guess it's a Doris Day and Rock Hudson type of comedy. I bought the DVD to relive the "warm and fuzzy" feeling whenever I want!

Movie Review: Loved it!
Summary: 5 Stars

Sure, the idea of someone spending the first 35 years of their life underground is a bit freaky to say the least, but there is a message much deeper than comedy here: America wants its values back, though it can't have them. Brendan Fraser does as good a job as can be done with this role, and there is a lot to like here. Romantic, funny, and Silverstone shines through her cynical character. Maybe rent it first, but I say buy!

Movie Review: Sweet, warm and fast pace
Summary: 5 Stars

If you want something sweet, warm and funny, this movie is just for you. It is not one of those "talking movies" where you have to chase every word or you wouldn't understand anything. Also it's not slow motion movie that makes you sleep or go to kitchen for a quick sandwish. You sit down and start watching and i guarantee that you won't leave your couch until "Blast of the Past" is over. Check it out!

Movie Review: really cute!
Summary: 5 Stars

Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone make a wonderfully funny team in this movie! Brendan does a great job playing a daft grown man, who was raised underground, so when he is released to the surface, he is curious and has so much fun and runs into Alicia. Its such a fun movie! Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek play Brendans parents, they are hilarious! I definately recommend giving this funny love story a shot!
