Movie Reviews of Blank CheckMovie Review: Childhood Movie Still Fun After Several Years Summary: 5 Stars
I grew up loving this movie and I found that even after so many years that I still love it. The idea of "Blank Check" is definitely far-fetched, but isn't every movie like this one far-fetched? It doesn't really matter to a kid. It didn't matter to me back then and still doesn't. What does matter is that it's a fun and funny family movie that I'm sure any kid would like. "Blank Check" may not have the best aesthetic value as well, but what do you expect from a low-budget kids' movie? The fact is Disney made a movie with strong moral lesson about money. Very young kids may not learn that moral and may not understand it as well. A child would watch this because it has that wishful-fillment aspect to it that attracts them. It certainly attacted me and I'm sure from several years on down the line that "Blank Check" will attract my own children.
Movie Review: GENIUS! Summary: 5 Stars
Like a young Paul Newman, Brian Bonsall bursts onto the screen in his first full-length feature like an acting tsunami. And his acting chops are so powerful that he leaves lots of damage in his wake (much like the horribly tragic real-life tsunamis).
If you haven't seen this wonderful comedy yet, you must check it out immediately. Any hesitation on your part will only lead to minutes of your life that are ticking away in sorrow and despair.
The plot of this movie is that Brian Bonsall gets a lot of money and--whoo boy!--that's when the fun kicks in. What will this little kid do with all the money? Well, you better get this movie now and find out!!! Hint: he spends it on things.
I wish Skippy were in it too.
Movie Review: Riot! Summary: 5 Stars
There is nothing funnier than a kid getting the better of adults and getting away with things like writing a check to himself for $1,000,000! Kids these days are SO clever - I wouldn't be a bit surpised if something like this really has happened - even here in Seattle (where I live). My uncle is a detective, I'll ask him if he's ever heard of something like this happening. Like I said, I wouldn't be a bit surpised if it has.
Strong scriptwriting and excellent cinematography - this is the type of movie that can put a Producer on the map!
This movie certainly makes you think of how closely you need to watch children. THEY'RE JUST SO DARN CUTE! Hard not to believe 'em....
Movie Review: A Kid Review Summary: 5 Stars
In this movie a kid gets his bike run over by a guy who stole 1 Million Dollars. The guy who runs his bike over signs a check and leaves the amount blank, so that night he print on million dollars on and cashes it. After he cashes it he spends alot using Mr.Macantosh as the name he fakes. So when he has to pay someone he has no money left and the person who ran over his bike wanted the money back but when he finally caught him he had no money... I wont say any more becuse I guess I'm writing a book on the Review: Brian Bonsall Fans... Summary: 5 Stars
Brian Bonsall, is without question, one of the cutest 'young boy' actors of all time. This movie rates '5 Stars', if for no other virtue it simply casts Brian Bonsall. However, the movie is reasonably amusing and entertaining otherwise. A must see for his fans and thank goodness it can now be collected on DVD. I would also recommend these other Brian Bonsall movies and hope that they all become available on DVD soon: 'Mikey', 'Desperate Motive', 'Father And Scout' 'Father Hood' and 'Lily In Winter'.
