Movie Review: A MUST HAVE

I wish this DVD was available in Blu-ray, to enjoy it even more.
The quality of this musicians is unbelievable. The talented Bebo on the piano, and the gifted voice of the flamenco cantaor Diego El Cigala makes this concert a truly unique piece of my collection. The smooth mix of latin jazz piano tunes (similar to Buena Vista Social Club, which I love) the graspy flamenco singing, and the whole performance in a black and white video makes this dvd unreal. I can just sit on the couch and watch it over and over again. If you are not familiar with any of this styles, but you like jazz, or smooth easy listening music, you should definitely explore this one, you won't be dissapointed. Just relax, play it, and enjoy it.
Can't wait for the Blu-ray release!

This DVD, a black-and-white format of a live concert collaboration between El Diego Cigala, a Gypsy Flamenco singer, and Bebo Valdes, a Cuban pianist, is a unique mix of cultures that hits the mark.
The concert is tastefully done, with close-ups on Valdes' marvelous piano playing as well as Cigala's vocal talents. The concert changes pace to keep you interested, its songs ranging among light, almost whimsical to passionate longing.
The visuals are as captivating on this DVD as the music. Whether it's playing as background music to a dinner party or you're avidly watching the concert, you cannot go wrong with this brilliant manifestation.

Bebo Valdes is flawless on this performance (every note is so soft) and Diego Cigala sings with a fire and passion that I can only describe as breathtaking. If you enjoyed the LAGRIMAS NEGRAS cd, then this is without a doubt a must have!! ENJOY!!!

I LOVED this cd the moment I first listened to it. It is one of the most beautiful, touching albums I have ever heard. It is one of my top 5 ALL TIME recordings. To see the evolution and collaboration of these two amazing artists was a gift. To see the love between Bebo and Cigala as people and as artist was touching. I can watch and listen to this DVD over and over again.
