Movie Review: SO much better than expected!!!!
Summary: 4 Stars
I shunned previews of this film and refused to see it in theaters- it just looked silly/ridiculous, etc. So, when my husband brought it home to watch, I went into it with a bad attitude, expecting it to be mind-numbing. Although I love Will Farrell, I just didn't see how this film could be any good. Boy was I wrong! Within ten minutes we were hysterically laughing. I haven't laughed out-loud at a film so much in ages! The movie was outrageously funny and one of Farrell's best ever. Putting Jon Heder and Will Farrell together - let alone on ice- was brilliant.
I highly recommend this movie- for adults and kids of all ages....its defintely a crowd-pleaser and will no doubt crack you up! :)
Movie Review: Love Will

What a great movie. So darn funny. I watch movies first before I let the kids watch them. There were some areas where I did cover my youngest daughters eyes, but after that, the whole family loved it. There's some things she doesn't need to see yet. I haven't seen a comedy that I laughed this hard at in years. Will Ferrell has always been a favorite, but I think this may be his best yet. I must admit I loved him in "Night at the Roxbury" as well and enjoyed him in his other movies, but this one shines. His co-star John Heder blows away his previous parts including "Napolean Dynamite". This is no doubt his best movie yet. It doesn't take much thought about this movie to make you start grinning. Two male singles skaters are kicked out of Olympics and lose gold medals when they fight. As a result a few years later they team up as pair skaters, something only men and women have done before. Now this is pretty funny, but the writers came up with several side stories that just put it all over the top. Afterall when you have two men touching each other in places that pairs skaters do normally, one can't help but laugh with Ferrell's expressions. Add to that some low brow jock strap and other humor and it reaches most of the family. Be aware a maneuver they train for, the "Iron Lotus", for the sake of the movie is known to be dangerous and has caused a skaters decapitation. In the movie they witness a supposed Korean news movie of a skating accident. Although obviously just a faked site gag, this may be shocking to some. The acting, directing, production, and music are all outstanding. Hysterically funny movie. You can watch it over and over again and catch more lines, that you missed the first time because you were laughing so hard. I loved Talladega Nights as well, but this is EVEN better than Talladega on Ice. You will not regret adding this movie to your collection.Movie Review: Super Silly But Fairly Family Friendly

It's tough to find a film that a wide collection of ages can watch at one time. Maybe the film is too simple for the adults or just a shade too sexy/mature/violent for the kids. This charmer can meet most everyone's needs with some smart satire for adults on the silliness of sports, great physical comedy on skates by all the lead performers, just enough of a tiny love story and of course, Will Farrell without his shirt in all his hunky-chunky, scary-hairy glory. Plus the movie is just long enough to digest that big family dinner before it's time to hit the road. This is a keeper in the permanent, emergency entertainment collection in our home.
