Movie Reviews of Bio ZombieMovie Review: The Sweetest Zombie Movie Ever? Summary: 4 Stars
The Hong Kong Bill and Ted in Dawn of the Dead, and all the better for it. Funny as hell, the movie can be heartbreaking when situations are clearly beyond the skills, and perhaps even the understanding of characters who demonstrate a genuine, unaware earnestness, occasionally called "heart" in pictures of more serious pretension.
Movie Review: So stupid, it's good Summary: 4 Stars
Totally B-rate zombie flick with an absurd plot and barely better acting. However, while it'll never be critically good.. if you watch it to be entertained and get a few chuckles, this one would work. The movie is about 3 stars, but I give another star for Rolls.
Movie Review: Slow Start, Random Horror, Good Mindless Fun Summary: 3 Stars
First of all, don't go into this expecting a typical zombie apocalypse. I find that this movie has a weird and offbeat pacing. It spends a lot of setup time introducing the main characters (Woody and Crazy) and then things suddenly start to happen fast - real fast.
Look for the videogame-esque "bio screens" which show off each character near the end. That's pretty funny, IMO. Things also go from comedy to grim at the drop of a hat, so be aware of that as well. Lots of funny "bits" like half-parody, half-homage to Dawn of the Dead (the original).
NOT a typical zombie film, but definitely worth a watch.
Movie Review: Biozombie is okay... Summary: 3 Stars
Biozombie aims to be comical, and succeeds for the most part as the story of zombie contamination slowly develops. By the second half, the film converts to a zombie film, the first half is mostly character development, having very little to do with zombies, more about light comedy. It's all about two troublemakers in a really small mall, with long, narrow halls lit blue. Don't picture a 'Dawn' mall is all.
So regarding the zombies and gore? Good zombie count by the end, with very little gore. The zombie make-up is decent at best. Bottomline, this is a comedy first.
Movie Review: Nice remake of classic Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this movie following the reviews on this page. I love ALL zombie movies. This one is a good time with some blood and gore in it, The flesh falling from the zombies is badly done (think my 4 year old could do better) but the story as a whole is pretty good. Then the part where they get there "BIOs and Weapons" haha thats a trip on its own. $15 is a little high but whatcha gonna do, A must for Zombie move buffs.
