Movie Reviews of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Movie Review: Bill & Ted's Colorful Journey
Summary: 5 Stars

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is a sequel that is suprisingly entertaining and is a good mix of comedy and science fiction. Bill is played by Alex Winter and Ted is played by Keanu Reeves. Many know Alex Winter from the "The Lost Boys" film (a great vampire movie by the way). Keanu Reeves is widely known for the "Matrix films". This movie centers around Bill and Ted's journeys through the afterlife via the means of a time travel phone booth and doing battle with the robots that are the more mischevious versions of themselves. They also end up having to simultaneously deal with the tasks of saving their partners(who they met when traveling to the 15th century time period) and the world at the same time. Along their journey they encounter the grim reaper (played by William Thomas Sadler), recieve help to accomplish their mission from fellow time traveler Rufus (played by George Carlin), and save the world from a man named De NoMolos who wants to rule the world and utilize the time travel medium for scandalous aims (played by English actor Joss Ackland). The movie involves Bill and Ted alternating between the 1990's time period, the realms of the afterlife, and the future time period of 2691. I admit that part of the reason why I enjoyed this movie is because Keanu Reeves is one of the actors I admire. However, both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves gave good performances as Bill and Ted. I read online that there may be another sequel to this movie to come out in the future. I admit that I am going to watch the future sequel if it is released because Bill and Ted's bogus journey is very funny. This is the type of movie to watch if you are looking for something to make you laugh. I know that this movie was purely entertainment and fictional but this movie makes it fun to imagine the possibilities of if a time travel medium was to ever exist. I have always been very lucky in my life, and I do believe that a person has the power to create their future however they want regardless of what happened in the past. However, this movie also made me think of the positive possibilities of what would happen if a time travel machine was ever made for journeying back and forth between time to change some events in my own life (that I had the power to do differently, and would only bring joyful benefit for myself and others). This movie has definitely piqued my interest to eventually see more time travel themed movies. I would say to definitely see this movie if you have an interest in Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, comedy that puts a smile on your face, and/or the concept of time travel.

Movie Review: Good laughs!
Summary: 5 Stars

This comedy starts out a little boring with wacky costumes for a cartoonish future but picks up pace once the 2 evil andriods are sent to earth to undo the past by eliminating 2 teen rock stars, Bill and Ted. The 2 human males get whacked by being thrown off a cliff by their robot-imitators.

Bill and Ted meet with the Grim Reaper, tries to get back to the world of the living but gets sent to hell instead. They bump into the Reaper again, beats him at various games and gets him to agree to send them back to earth to save their fiancees. They all get dressed, go to heaven and ask God for a favor to seek help from the most brilliant scientific minds in the Universe - 2 creatures with big butts. They return to earth together, build 2 robots, defeat the evil robots and their master, and get their ladies back.

End of a sci-fi story that has a humorous supernatural element to it.

Now get the electric guitars out, it's time for rock and roll with Bill and Ted!

Movie Review: Like Hamlet or Bros K, Bogus Journey is an enduring classic
Summary: 5 Stars

Bill and Ted may both seem like idiots, and they are, but this film is a most lucid and hilarious exploration of Life, Death, Meaning, Evil Robots, and what it means to be a hero. Joseph Cambell would embrace these two boneheads with all his heart. On the surface, there are plenty of one liners and throw away jokes which, hilarious as they may be, can lead the casual virgin viewer to dismissing the movie as very funny, but at the same time stupid. However, once you penetrate the subtlties of this movie, into the abyss you tumble, like Alice down the rabbit hole or like Augustus Gloop up the chocolate pipe. You know what I mean. "Oh Wait, that's freshwater," "Maybe if we do them girlie style," "full on robot chubby"- all Bogus Journey quotations that have penetrated American slang and our collective unconscious. If you buy one DVD this year, make it this one.

Movie Review: It's a great movie.
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this movie. It's very funny, it has references to metal bands, and it's kinda like Terminator with the evil robots from the future. Terminator Bill and Ted! I think that could have worked besides Evil Robot Bill and Ted. Terminator is also a good movie. Buy that and this movie. Ha ha. I've watched this thing eighteen times since I bought it.
It's funny because a lot of the times Bill and Ted look like they are so stoned in the movie with their facial expressions and valley talk. And it if you smoke, watch this movie under the influence. You won't be disappointed.
This movie is also touching and has a message; Treat people nicely and don't judge them. "Be excellent to each other!" It's just flat out a good movie guys.

Movie Review: Dude, sir, dude, dude
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and growing up in Montana where you can't go outside in the winter lest you get frostbite, we had quite the movie collection. I absolutely love Death in this movie. If you haven't even seen it, skip renting and just buy it. You'll watch it over and over and over again, I promise. The totally awesome dudes Bill and Ted rule the screen as they try to save their girlfriends and their shot at winning the Battle of the Bands. But first, they go to heaven, to hell and must beat Death at Battleship. I've still got my fingers crossed for another movie promised but in the meantime, I guess I'll just pop a bag of popcorn, hop on the couch and watch this non-non-non-non-non heinous masterpiece of a movie.
