Movie Review: Big Momma is Back & Better Than Ever!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very funny sequel! Martin Lawrence is back, doing what he does best! 6 years after the original, Malcolm Turner has married Sherri, and has become a family man. He is still at the F.B.I. but he is working behind a desk. He soon finds out that his original partner has been killed. He overhears that a man named Tom Fuller may be involved in creating a virus that will create back doors into data stored on FBI computers. Malcolm decides to go back undercover as Big Momma and be a nanny to Mr. Fuller's kids. They all get into some pretty hilarious situations, including hanging out on the beach, teaching cheerleading, and going to a spa. I highly recommend BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE 2!!!

Movie Review: Good Clean Fun

I'll admit it, I was extremely skeptical when my husband brought this movie home. I'm unfamiliar with Martin Lawrence, and I hadn't seen the first Big Momma movie. But my doubts were soon put to rest and I joined the rest of my family in the silly, slapstick antics of Big Momma (why is a man dressed like a woman so much funnier than a woman dressed like a man???).

Rare is the movie that you can watch with your kids without covering their ears every other scene. This movie was, for the most part, clean enough for my 8 and 6 year-olds to watch.

While this wasn't "Mrs. Doubtfire" or "Tootsie," I will definitely be looking for the first Big Momma.

Movie Review: Was Okay

Should be last Big Momma movie. This one was okay, but not as funny as the first. I have always loved Martin Lawrence and am dying for "Martin" (the comedy series) to come out. However, as the saying goes "quit while you're ahead". I would give this advice to Martin with the Big Momma franchise. I don't see that he can wring any further jokes from Big Momma. No more please!!

The reason I gave this movie 4 stars is that it was not quite as bad as I was expecting. At least, for the most part, the plot made sense (at least to me) and I laughed out loud several times. So it wasn't horrible. Just not great.

Movie Review: Entertainingly brainless....
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm a sucker for men in drag movies, and I found Big Momma's house 2 to be actually kind of funny. Perhaps it was the cold medication, or perhaps Martin Lawrence actually manages to pull off something here with the drag humor, but I enjoyed it. I particularly found Martin's job interview to be funny, and the scenes where he interacted with the children he was taking care of were funny.

The screenwriter really lampoons the yuppie lifestyle with overscheduled children and makes it work. Oh, and the little dog was really cute.

Funny in a brainless kind of way. 4 stars.
