Movie Review: Southern Plantation Life, Before, During and After the Civil War
Summary: 4 Stars
Enjoyed the movie. Good and entertainin about the civil war before and after and the futility of slavery and its aftermath as well as suffering of people post civil war. Particularly interesting were how people in the South viewed themselves, the glory of plantation life and slaves contributions in making it what it was. Also showed that although some slaves were freed, they really never were.Movie Review: Beulah Land

I really liked this movie; started out alittle slow; but picked up; lives of the people who lived there; etc; were not many civil war battle scenes; but it did show the yankees coming down south; looting; raping; pillaging; etc. As a civil war reenactor; I noticed the yankee cavalry uniforms were wrong.
