Movie Review: TOP-NOTCH PERIOD DRAMA

I own about 40 period dramas on DVD,
and this is one of the top 5 in my opinion.

Movie Review: Impossible to forget

Weeks after watching this series, it has stayed with me. In particular, the scene with Mattie and Ned on the rooftop captured my heart. These two actors show so much feeling with just the slightest change in expression. In fact, the entire cast did a superb job! Highly recommended, it rates with "Anne of Green Gables" and "Wives and Daughters".Movie Review: Try to stop watching it!

Don't be put off by the "fancy" period costumes or the fact that three women drive the story. This is just great, fast paced story-telling! Along the lines of "The Grand," as opposed to "Brideshead" (both of which are great, but the latter is richer and former, more fun). It's an Edwardian Valley of the Dolls!

I bought this DVD set mainly for my wife as I have so many `men' DVD's but we both found it was a very good series, good acting, and enjoyed it immensely. The outcome isn't predictable so it's even more interesting. Great for the whole family and worth watching over and over again. Berkeley Square is a striking hit about the lives of nannies in England. The lives of these women are intertwined in an excellent drama. Filming quality is very good. The story line is intriguing and well written. This is not just a movie about nannies. It is a story of love, hope, helping and the human condition.
