Movie Reviews of Bent

Movie Review: BRILLIANT ACTING OF A CRUEL REALITY
Summary: 5 Stars

AFTER WATCHING THIS MOVIE, IT IS HARD TO SWALLOW, AND EVEN HARDER NOT TO CRY.

ITS CIRCUMSTANCIAL THE CHARACTERS WERE HOMOSEXUALS, THE RELEVANCE IS THAT THEY WERE STRIPPED OF THEIR YOUTH,WILL, FREEDOM, SPEECH, MIND, FEELINGS, SANITY.......JUST AS OTHER JEWISH, GYPSY, POLISH, GAY,RUSSIAN PRIOSNERS WERE IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS.

MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS:
1-CRUELTY HAS NO BOUNDARIES AND NO SOUL
2-THE HUMAN SPIRIT IS GREATER THAN ANY EARTHLY EVIL.

IT IS HARD NOT TO BE FURIOUS FOR THIS TRAGEDY BROUGH UP BY MAN, AND IT IS HARD NOT TO FEEL FOR THOSE WHO ENDURED THIS SUFFERING, AS WELL AS JOY FOR THE ONES WHOS SPIRIT WAS BIGGER THAN LIFE.

Movie Review: Quality performances make a quality Movie experience
Summary: 5 Stars

Some people might say the morals set in this movie are a bit strange but that is coming from the people who just have to have a nonstop action setting. People have said this movie is a bit stagey, i agree but being a young actor myself it is quite rare that you view this kind of work. I liked the way that it was. This movie is great. The performances are outstanding expecially from Clive Owen, who i enjoyed in King Arthur. The man has exceptional ability to keep the audience with him the entire film to the shocking and breath taking ending. Ian Mckellan who was also in the stage version of this film makes this movie even more better.

Movie Review: Want to understand hate?
Summary: 5 Stars

Hate is alive and well in our very own country of America. That is unfortunate but it is a fact. We still have racists, sexists, homophobes etc. That kind of hate gave birth to Nazi Germany and the extinction of Jews and Gay People in the Concentration Camps. This is a must see movie that every American ought to see. We then can hopefully understand why we must be vigilant to assure that this kind of thing never happens again. Bent is a powerful movie. Prepare yourselves to examine your own consciences as you see this movie unfold. I highly recommend it.

Movie Review: Great Film....
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the film Bent very recently because I like very much Clive Owen. This is a great film. A good example on how our mind is free and superior to any barrier or boundary. A love between two persons is always beautiful...
It's also a very sad film because shows a piece of our history that we can't forget in order to avoid the same mistakes. I recommend it...

Movie Review: Compelling
Summary: 5 Stars

Clive Owen is probably the last person you'd ever expect to see in a movie about homosexuals in the German Concentration Extermination Camps, but his performance gave the topic dignity and humanity to a subject that has been long ignored by society. In fact, out of 12 million victims of the camps, only about half are really remembered. A movie worth every cent and more.
