I loved this movie. I saw it when it first came out and loved it. I have been looking for a copy to buy for years. I have sat my two teenage daughters down to watch it. They loved it too. It is a very interesting and moving picture. All of the main actreeses did a great job. I love the loyalty and sense of family that they carry on without the men of the family. I do have to address the issues in the other review. First the reason noone hears the twins being shot, it he has a silencer on the gun. And as for the guys just "lying on the floor and and no one hears the shots!" They werent shot they were poisoned! Did you not get the shot where the camera pulls up on the wine!? This is important. The movie is very good and if you have never had the pleasure of watching it. Watch it soon and leave a review. Enjoy.Movie Review: Edited for DVD....

I love Vanessa Redgrave, so I'd watch anything she is in, which got me to this made for TV mini-series. This imported DVD version is the only available version. (There was a video edition...). The DVD looks and sounds great, and the film is highly entertaining, but it is odd that with the popularity of Mob films, and the star power in this one, that no American studio has issued the complete version....This one is missing about 35 minutes....Movie Review: Mob Wives Rule

This movie is different from standard mob movies in that the wives do not tolerate abuse from the men in their lives. These ladies fight back!!
Although you cannot find a better Godfather than Dennis Farina (what a fox in a tux!) the ladies are more than equal to the task of retribution.
I liked this movie because it is different than the rest of the mob/family genre, and finally shows that women can handle themselves in a fight.

This was originally a mini series on TV. When they converted it to a DVD, they left parts of the movie out. It was great on TV. but where they took parts out, it was not as good because there were "jumps" in the film. It just did not flow as smoothly as it did on TV.
