Movie Review: Carmine's "Begintermediate" DVD
Summary: 5 Stars
This DVD is a great follow-up to Carmine's first DVD. I really loved the feeling of being in class with other students, as opposed to watching one person do a pattern a couple of times, and then moving on to something else before you really have a chance to catch on. The difference with this DVD is that you can actually practice along with it, and move along at a comfortable pace that is more closely matched to how you actually learn a rhythm and/or technique. It is also good for those beginners who know the basic rhythms but now need to get to the next level in their playing. Carmine breaks things down into understandable segments, and doesn't throw too much at you all at once. And for those of you who also dance, the Ava Fleming drum solo at the end is a real treat. I highly recommend this DVD; it is an investment well worth making if you're serious about improving your skills.
