Movie Reviews of Beethoven Lives Upstairs

Movie Review: wholesome entertainment
Summary: 5 Stars

this film is just long enough to enjoy a small part of beethovens life. however humorous, it is seriously sad when beethoven expresses his pain from the loss of his hearing. the gatekeeper learns selflessness and becomes understanding of the importance of people in our lives. this approx. one hour video is reccomended for all ages.

Movie Review: Great movie for kids and adults...
Summary: 5 Stars

Our 9 yr old son loves classical music and a co-worker told me about this movie. We borrowed it and he and our 4 yr old daughter both LOVED it so much that he saved his money and bought it. Great story and great music.

Movie Review: excellent product
Summary: 5 Stars

I first saw this movie on TV. It is an excellent movie to show to my music students and a real insight into the composer's life. The actors enchant us with a superb performance. Highly recommended.

Movie Review: Beethoven really lives upstairs.
Summary: 5 Stars

Beautiful music, scenery and good acting from all the people involved in such a charming movie.Children oriented, very inspirational!

Movie Review: Contains many negative conversations
Summary: 3 Stars

I got the movie from the library. I was a little bit disappointed in the first part of the movie, because it shows quite a bit of negativity. At the beginning the little boy only complains about Beethoven living with them ,but then he becomes his friend. So that development of thier relationship is positive. The interactions between the maid and him are very negative also some of the conversations and Beethovens anger outbursts are extreme. I would not buy the movie, bec I don't want my children be exposed to that negativity. It also shows Beethoven a few times w/upper part nudity. The whole movie only portrays a small part of Beethovens live. But it did create more desire to learn about the composer. My 7yr old daughter asked after wards if her really was so crazy.
