Movie Review: my 7-yr old loves this movie!
Summary: 5 Stars
We rented this movie from netflix a while back and ever since my daughter has been asking us to rent it again or to buy it. We finally bought it for her and as soon as it got here, she watched it.
It's the story of a girl who is new in town, her dad is a pastor which makes it hard for her to make friends. She meets Winn-Dixie, a dog, and begs her dad to let her keep him. The rest of the story shows how Winn-Dixie is definitely more than your average dog.

I thought this movie was so so awesome.First I read the book because my teacher recomended it and then the movie came out and I am a HUGE fan of AnnaSophia Robb I mean my hometown is 1 hour away from her's anyway she was so great @ her part I mean it must be hard and Exciting working with big huge stars like Cicely Tyson,Jeff Daniels,Eva Marie Saint,Dave Matthews,and Child Starlette Courtney Jines

I read this book when I was 11, and read it all the time! I am now 13 and it's my favorite book! The movie is great; very good directing, except for minor changes from paper to screen. This film is GREAT for kids over six, and adults under 106. I LOVE IT AND CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO BE ON D.V.D.!!!!!!
Recomended to ANYONE who loves a good story about love, friendship, trust, lonliness, family, strength, and a good dog! :-)

I liked this book becuase it is about a girl named Opal and how she findsa dog and names it Winn Dixie.She meets a woman and these two boys that say that shes a witch but shes not shes a really nice old lady that is blind.She met her while going to her house to get Winn Dixie.Later in the book Opal and the other lady have a party and they invite all the people who wants to go.They have a lot of fun until Winn DIxie runs away.Movie Review: delightful!

The title and the box picture lead one to believe that this is solely a children's movie. This is a movie the entire family can enjoy. The characters are endearing and the story, sweet and heart warming. There are scenes that reach down into the deep places of the heart and set free the imagination and innocence that should always be found in childhood. Highly recommended for the whole family.
