Imagine yourself being a ten year old girl, all alone in a new town, with only you and your dad. Who knew that finding a loveable dog would help you make new friends and find many new adventures? As you watch this movie you will soon realize the important and not so important things in life. The theme of the movie Because of Winn-Dixie is valuable to all readers because there are so many lessons to be learned. There was a book written about this movie before it was made. I read the book first and they are both equally good, but I think the movie is better.
In fact this movie teaches you lessons that won't be forgotten. You can't hold on to things that you have absolutely no control over. Don't ever be afraid of remembering your past. You should always learn lessons because you might make a mistake later on and get in trouble. Lessons don't always have to be hard, some are really fun.
Truly you should always be thankful for what you have and should not take anything for granted. Opal, the ten year old girl was thankful for her dad and her dog. Mrs. Franny, The librarian was for all of her books Opals dad the preacher was thankful for having somewhere to preach, even if it was an old convenient store. Their grouchy land lord attendant was thankful to own his trailer park, which Opal lived in.
In addition when you're sad and lonely, you're afraid to go out in the world and do things. You should enjoy things in life. Just because you're sad that doesn't mean you can't ever be happy again. Sometimes children and animals can make you remember how important things are in life. This movie tells you that you should never be sad because it puts you down. You should always be happy and it lifts you up.
Because of Winn-Dixie is a very good and totally awesome movie. It keeps you thinking about what, or what might not happen next. It will make you laugh hysterically the whole time. If your emotional, like me, then you might get a little teary eyed in some points. I would recommend this movie to any boy or girl of all ages. This would be good for a family to all sit down and watch together. The only people who might not like this are people who don't like dogs. So how do you think it would be being that little girl and sharing all of those adventures she had? Hopefully after you've watched this movie it touched you're heart the way it did mine. Maybe you'll think about what you're going to do before you do it. It made me feel lucky for all the things in my life.
