Movie Reviews of Bean

Movie Review: Happiness
Summary: 5 Stars

I am never disappointed when I watch Mr. Bean. He makes me laugh and makes me happy.

Movie Review: one of the funniest movies ever
Summary: 4 Stars

i love this movie which is by the way one of my favorties mr. bean was hilarous when arriving from england to california when the cops that he had a gun at the airport but he didn't bean made the cops think he did he was just playing with them the airport scene was very funny but it didn't end there bean and his art partner who allowed bean to stay with him and his family for a couples of weeks because the artman thought that bean was a doctor and an artist boy was he wrong and right at the carnival is where the comedy continues when bean and the male artist went on this scary ride indoors the first time bean was bored but the second time they both went on the ride bean changed the speed of the ride which was like those fast rides at six flags that where everyone was falling off their seats but bean he was having the time of his life while it as like the male artist's worst nightmare then man had unexpected company it was his boss from his art job along with his wife they both came for dinner therefore he and bean had to fix dinner this was also very hilarous because both of them couldn't cook well he told bean to stuff his thanksgiving turkey in the mircowave for a few minutes when the food was ready to be served the turkey blew up out of the micowave and broken the art guy's house window there are alot more comedic screens in the movie bean but i don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen the movie yet jb

Movie Review: For a Rowan Atkinson novice, weird, then funny, then entertaining!
Summary: 4 Stars

Rowan Atkinson is... weird. His Mr. Bean character was new to me, and I use the term "character" to mean "a person, especially one who is peculiar or eccentric."

Peculiar AND eccentric is more like it.

Mr. Bean is a security guard at a British museum, and through series of strange events he is chosen to accompany Whistler's Mother to a museum in Los Angeles, not as a guard, but as... an art expert.

His grunts, nose-picking, and underwear ironing is misinterpreted as academic eccentricity.

You start off laughing (or not) at Mr. Bean's behaviors but, at some point in the film, you become engaged with the story. And that is what makes this film work. Ninety minutes of Mr. Bean stumbling around would not work! The plot emerges around his stumbling and fumbling, and turns into a fun story. The other actors are great as well, being "normal" personae to be compared to Mr. Bean's, well, "Abbie Normal" persona.

My first Mr. Bean film!

Movie Review: Call it 3 1/2 stars just to be fair.
Summary: 4 Stars

There are two schools of thought on British Humor. You like it or you hate it. Period. I've always been a fan of Rowan Atkinson, not only for the Mr. Bean Character but also for the Black Adder series.

Bean is simply a goofy British nerd. Doesn't have too many friends, isn't particularly smart, and kind of goes through life pretty well oblivious to everything around him. In this film he's mistaken for an Art Expert for a museum travelling to LA. The plot isn't much and never is.

Everything is about the Chaos Bean brings to everything he does. Not as good as the TV series, but I don't think Bean fans will be disappointed.

If you're not a Bean fan...avoid it at all costs.

Being that self-absorbed gets him into one mess after another.

Movie Review: You'll ache from laughing
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a fantastic movie for when you want to relax and laugh. Mr. Bean is so predictable and outrageous, but it usually turns out right for him. He's truly a gifted actor to be able to portray a feeling without using words (or few words). The story line is predictable but has twists to it that keep you guessing. Mr. Bean is a great movie, and it would take a real stick-in-the-mud person to not enjoy laughing with Mr. Bean.
